These are pretty cute. I don't know about their crash rating, as I've luckily not used it. This is a panda shell over several inches of styrofoam. Enough to absorb one hit, and should be replaced immediately afterwards. The panda ears fold during impact (according to manufacturer). The outer layer is shiny and durable and held up well under the Texas sun for a season (looks brand new still). The ventilation is OK, since the panda shell covers most of the product. There are still 3 air holes. The adjustment comes with chin straps, and also a twist in the back. Both work well. Be sure to measure your kid's head and get the right size -- not too large / small.

So, I needed a helmet for when baby rides in the baby seat on my bike. She’s not old enough to ride her own bike yet & this was really the only one I could find that was for a baby under 1 yr old - which she was when I got it. She is now 1 & the helmet expands and contracts by turning the super easy knob at the back. Adjusting its tightness is very east. The helmet is cute and offers good protection. Obviously the hope is that we never get to find out just how good a job it does cushioning her head from anything, but having it on her definitely is a comfort when we’re riding around.

Omg...this is perfect. The ability to adjust the helmet at the base of the skull is very helpful. My daughter has a small head and this fits wonderfully. She is so happy. Also, the ears move!!! 🐻 It is very well made. Definitely worth the money.

I feel others may knock off more stars for what I'm about to explain, but I am still impressed with this helmet so I only knocked off one. I looked high and low for an infant size helmet and there were very few options, and this was absolutely the cutest. I also want to point out that I purchased it in good used condition through Amazon and I was not disappointed at all. I saved a few bucks and you would never know it was not new. The reason I took off one star is because the shell of the design is a little looser than I anticipated. It is basically like a standard helmet and then over top there is a cute teddy bear shell made of thin plastic. It is a little weird because there is somewhat of a gap between the decorative shell and the protective helmet. I cannot imagine it limits the effectiveness at all, it just kinda buckles and bends when you touch it (the decorative part, not the safety part). I had read other reviews saying it looked cheap, and I imagine now this is what they meant by that. I still think it is a very cute helmet, fits my ten-month-old very well and is adjustable.

Super cute!! I was initially cautious of the material being flimsy and flexible — it didn’t seem like it was a solid helmet like I was expecting. The plastic bear head has some give when I pushed on it. I assume it’s because the infant size needs to be lightweight to not be too heavy for the baby. My baby is not doing extreme sports so it’s fine for the application.

Bought this for my toddler for his bike trailer we have for him. My kid loves this thing. When it first arrived I put it on him and he just ran around everywhere yelping. Like com’on it’s a little cute panda helmet. It has a dial in the back to adjust the head circumference to the parents liking. My toddler is 18mo and it should fit him until he’s a little over 2. We all love seeing his smile when we open the garage and he rushes to grab his helmet and sits in his trailer for a bike ride.

This is such a cute helmet but we returned it due to no vents in the top (like a normal helmet). We only went around the block but our baby's hair was wet with sweat. The weather wasn't cold but definitely not excessively hot; we ultimately went with a vented helmet and we've had no sweat issues! Other than the lack of vents, it fit our baby well and offeree great head coverage (safety wise). The ears are not helmet material and for decoration, but the main helmet is the material expected for a helmet.

Perhaps my child has a big head. But I dont think it will last her till she's 3 y.o. Very cute on her now! She's 11 months old. Still has some space to grow :) lightweight and protects around the head.

The size fits great on a 14 month old. Super cute design. Good quality.
