If you are talking about the channel it goes into it is pretty much standard size which is a groove you press the flange into. The only width/gap you need to make sure of is the door to the frame which is about 5/8. Close your door and measure the spacing. I used this to replace the original of 37 years old and it fit like a charm. Very satisfied, looks good and will stop any air leaks. Hope this helps. **Q: The groove you press the flange into should be installed first, because regular doors do not have it, right?** A: Actually our door had a groove and we just replaced the old stripping that the cats had shredded. Easy and worked great ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heavy-duty flexible rubber and a powerful, long-lasting self-adhesive hold! *by K***W on October 1, 2026* I am highly satisfied with the thermal insulation and overall durability of this Fingwerk rubber weather stripping door seal strip. Good adhesion. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great buy *by I***. on October 15, 2025* Great weather strip, keeps room temperature, good door seal, adhesive could be better but still really good. It’s a really flush fit especially for doors. As far as noice reduction, I paired it with draft stopper and it definitely helped reduce a good bit of noise, but i’m sure if you have rockwool insulation it would work way better, my needs are simple. simple color. It’s a good weather strip for your money and great length. ## Frequently Bought Together - Fingwerk 40 Feet Rubber Weather Stripping Door Seal Strip, Self-Adhesive Backing D-Shape Door Weatherstripping for Door Frame Insulation Large Gap, Easy Cut to Size(Black) - Vellure® Door Draft Stopper for Bottom of Door - Premium Door Sweep for Bottom of Door/Weather Stripping Door Seal (Save Energy – installs Quickly and Easily) Door Strip Ideal for Keeping Out Cold - Bantie 20FT Weather Stripping Door Seal Self Adhesive Door Weather Stripping Weather Strip Silicone D Shaped Seal Strip for Door Frame/Window Seal (20FT Black 3/8" W × 1/4" T) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/429773983-fingwerk-40-feet-d-shape-rubber-weather-stripping](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/429773983-fingwerk-40-feet-d-shape-rubber-weather-stripping) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
