Sister has given permission for my nephew to have his first knife. I was struggling between this one (3-1/4") and the full size Stockman (4"). I think it's a little small, and if it were for me, I'd rather have the full size. But I have to remember it's for smaller hands. This is exactly what I had envisioned when I heard "first knife + Christmas". I can imagine Tom Sawyer or Huck Finn with the same classic styling. The workmanship is exquisite - perfectly fitted scales. No sanding marks. I am really glad I purchased this and I am sure the recipient will be pleased. It will be as much at home in the woods with a ten-year-old boy, as in a gentleman's suit pocket.

No llega a medir las 3.5 pulgadas que se indican. No obstante es bella y sus hojas tienen buen filo.

What could have been a nice knife (solid design, good blades, and decent construction) was marred by a flawed bone scale and a shoddy attempt to disguise the issue. Small chips and uneven fit to the knife frame on one of the bolsters were "repaired" with a "filler" that was already falling apart as I took the knife out of the packaging. It's minor... and appears to be solely cosmetic, but it's unacceptable for a $60 knife. I would have expected this from a $15 Rough Rider, not something 4X the price from a made in Germany Boker...

I love carrying a pocket knife, like my kershaw with the open assist however...when you whip that sucker out to cut something...i.e. at work...in the office....you may draw a few looks, so this knife is the answer to that problem. No one will mistakenly think that you are out to attack them with this puppy, but it is extremely sharp out of the box and with the high carbon steel blade it should be easy to keep that same edge on it. The size of the knife is perfect to fit into the "coin" pocket of jeans, or the same pocket found in the bottom of some hand pockets of slacks. I'm somewhat lazy when it comes to sharpening knives and that is why I like this 3 blade knife over some of the other single or double blade pocket knives of similar size.
