Natural Moisturizing Lipstick (Sangria)

I do not own this specific color. I have the Mauve Rose. However, I wanted to comment on this line of lipstick because I am very pleasantly surprised that I have found a natural lipstick that is every bit as good as its sythetic counterpart. The texture and color is rich...goes on smoothly and has the staying power equal or better than most that I have used (I typically use L'Oreal). The texture is slighly dryer than my L'Oreal Vagabond Mauve, but in no way is drying to my lips...and the Ecco Bella stays fresher, longer. To top it off, this lipstick tube lasts and lasts. I have had it for about three months, use it daily, and do not anticipate needing a replacement at this rate for another 6-8 months. Take advantage of the price on Amazon...I paid 14.99 at a local health food store. I would definitely buy this product again.

I've been looking for a makeup company that I can stand behind for a while now and I think Ecco Bella was a good choice for me. I did a good bit of research what makeup lines were organic and I felt that Ecco Bella offered the best ingredients at the best pricepoint with organic certifications. The real test of makeup is how it wears, and this lipstick is great. It lasts a long time when I wear it with the lip liner (terracotta) it will usually last throughout a meal. The consistency is nice, a thicker blend similar to Chanel lip color but not as smooth as a Lancome lip color without the overbearing perfume scents. It depends what you like, I am wiling to sacrifice the smooth quality to get longer wear out of a color; especially if it means the lip color is organic and I don't have to worry about ingesting perfume and chemicals. I think that anything that has been given up on the texture or consistency is well worth it for the natural ingredients of an organic product. I love that this lipstick doesn't smell like perfumes or taste gross. I like to use a gloss every now and then to keep my lips moist with this lipstick. If you like smoother lip colors you might want to try one of the other kinds of lipsticks Ecco Bella offers. The package design is sleek looking too! If you are looking for a makeup that will be kind to the earth and your skin, try this. I've been very happy with this line so far.

I purchased this product along with the ECCO Bella Chocolate kiss. I must say that I was very pleased with the product (Merlot). The delivery was prompt (3 days) and the packaging was easy to work through. This merlot color has a mild floral scent. It is not over powering at all. The lipstick is very soft and goes on smoothly. I am a dark-skinned woman and the color is not too bright or too light. It does compliment my tone. The color goes well with a cooperate type attire and also a casual wear. I am a teacher so this is suitable for work. I appreciate that there aren’t harsh chemicals in these products. I will be purchasing one of these (exact) colors for my mom. If it helps at all to know that I was not pleased with the Chocolate kiss and will be returning it. The product is very pasty, and the color does not show up at all. Some advice for this line of products, apply a minimum amount of lip balm before applying the lip color (if necessary) because it might not show up as well.

Perhaps they have fixed this issue? But I have been using this brand for 7 years. I love that there are a number of vegan shades. (You have to check each one-- some in the Flower Color line are vegan, some contain Carmine which is not vegan.). The quality has been consistent. The color is vibrant, smooth, moisturizing, non glossy, but not a dry matte. HOWEVER NEARLY EVERY STICK'S CAP BROKE! Still, one of the best products out there. Please address this, Ecco!

I really like the color of this lipstick, but unfortunately it has an unusual taste and smells musty. Because of that, I’m not comfortable using it and will be attempting a return. The shade itself is beautiful, but the product condition was disappointing.

Ecco Bella is my dream lipstick. It goes on so smooth, and stays all day but without being heavy or sticky. The nontoxic ingredients are great. But please, please Ecco Bella: bring back the merlot color!

I only received the cover for the lipstick! It’s not worth for me to waste my gas and return the cover of a lipstick 👎👎👎

Ecco Bella makes perhaps the only lipstick to which I do not have a sensitivity or allergy. I have extreme dryness/chapping of the lips that ranges from manageable to practically excruciating. Here's what I do: apply Ecco Bella FlowerColor lipstick and then, on top of that, Aquafor healing ointment. The ointment is for shine, comfort, and extra moisture. This combination works wonderfully for me. (You can use shea butter, or whatever, if you object to the ingredients in Aquafor, but Aquafor works best for me). I have FlowerColor in about five shades, and my favorite is Rosewood, as it is the most versatile when I only want to keep up with one tube of lipstick. It's a coolish shade but has enough warmth so as not to look pink-y. Btw, it is wonderful that this lipstick is available on Amazon Prime! Our local Whole Foods no longer carries it, and I have a skin reaction to their alternative brands. PS - for normal skin/lips, you certainly can skip the Aquafor! The lipstick has sufficient moisture for most--unless you want to add a gloss on top.
