NINESTARS TTT-50-19 Automatic Tap Sensor Trash Can, 13 Gal 50L, Stainless Steel Base (D Shape, Black Lid)

This trash can is pretty good. It is lightweight and what I really like is the mechanism used to open the top lid which is by tapping with your toe, instead of a sensor, and located to the back of the trash can and not inside the lid area, which allows to have a wider top lid opening. One con is the light outside stainless wall which is very thin and if you are not careful it is easy to bend. On the first one I received the box suffered a side blow while in transit and damaged the trash can. Amazon provided a replacement right away and it arrived in perfect condition. Otherwise I recommend it.

It's going on two months now since purchased. Works great! Size is perfect. It makes a slight noise. But it's beneficial. I always know when it closes behind me 😏 Highly recommend.

Great for hands-free disposal. But, absolutely great for that curious pup not being able to get in the can !

I love this! It fits in so many places, it's classy, and goes with so many types of decor - hides the trash! Love the quality, and the bags stay where I put them! This is for sure one of the best buys I made.

The product is less than a year old and the motor is already failing. I thought it was just the batteries going dead but they were replaced and it still operates slowly. It worked just fine for the first 6 months but now the lid opens and closes extremely slow.

I don’t know if it’s supposed to function this way but the lid doesn’t close all the way and when you push it closed, it won’t open mechanically. Maybe it’s just the one I got or maybe it’s a design flaw in all... I’m not sure 🤔 otherwise it is the perfect size and shape and looks nice!

I've never had a good experience with motion-detecting trash cans. They either open too often, or wont open the one time you need it to, etc. The toe-tap feature of this trash can is perfect. It's requires only the lightest touch with your foot, and it opens properly every time. I've had the same set of batteries in for 6+ months now, with 3 roommates tossing stuff frequently. Battery longevity is excellent.I'm not sure how the motion-detecting aspect (with regard to keeping the lid open) is supposed to work, but like all my experience with motion-detecting cans, it may be inconsistent on this model as well. However, all you need to do is hold your foot on the toe-tap button, and the lid will stay open. Then when you want it to close, just tap it again. This doesn't subtract any stars for me as I purchased for the toe-tap feature, not any motion detecting features.10/10 and am buying another now. I hope they never discontinue this product.

Overall, this is a pretty good garbage can. It's a good size, looks nice, tucks away against the wall, and is lightweight and fairly easy to clean. I also like the automatic foot pedal feature and the ability to either keep the lid open for a few seconds or for as long as you need. On the con side, the bag often falls through, despite using the ring designed to keep the bag in place.
