Oregon Magnum Gatorline 095 Trimmer Line Heavy Duty, .095" x 282-Foot

This was a “Eureka” moment for me with my EGO trimmer (bought second hand). I had been using a good quality .065” string but it had/has been breaking off often and not very sturdy for hardy weeds. I did some research and found that .095” was OEM and preferred, the Amazon suggested line/s suggested a twisted version. This trimmer line works fantastically, I was able to attack a really massive pile of weeds without breaking off once. I was also able to work a line along a fence that had been too thick for my previously used line, I was amazed at how much better this line cut through the roughest of plants/weeds. It made what would have been an arduous task seem easy, the quality and value for the money paid out in this first try.

Cuts good. Doesn’t glue itself together like some others. It does seem to fray easily.

I didn’t have to refill or fix jams on my FS90, I have to refill or fix jams when I used Echo or other lines with good reviews and I hit fences and concrete a lot and scalp all the weeds, one refill will last me for my whole job and a tank and 1/2 of gas, good sized yard with mostly weeds and Johnson grass

This Magnum Gatorline is really strong and durable. I have been buying trimmer lines for awhile, and this is the best that I have seen, as far as strength wise. It does not break like the other trimmer lines. Finally, a product with a manufactor that's serious about it trimmer line. I recommend this product if you do a lot of yard work, and don't want to be changing trimmer lines all the time because of breakage. I did! There is no going back for me.

I admittedly don't have a ton of experience, but upgrading from a slightly thinner twisted line to this felt like an entirely new trimmer. I have an ego trimmer and it struggled on thicker grass tufts, overgrown grass, and light bramble. This stuff demolishes it. I understand that it's probably degrading my trimmer's motor, but the line itself really punches above its weight from my amateur perspective.

I bought a spool of this for a fairly average sized yard (in Oklahoma suburbs), and a spool of this lasted me about a season + 1 month. I will say it is better than whatever string came with my EGO trimmer, but not by much for my uses. Full disclosure: I'm one of the guys that uses his trimmer as an edger, which is MUCH harder on your string than using it for it's intended purposes. As a trimmer, breakage was much less frequent. As an edger, it will break A LOT, and the color of this stuff makes it hard to see where you are going to be edging so it can look sloppy. I have since switched to a popular Amazon product that is orange square line on a 5 lb spool that comes in about 3x cheaper per foot and it's much sturdier for my applications and much easier to see. Being that I use it as an edger, take my review with a grain of salt, just something to be aware of if you use your trimmer as I do and are fairly hard on your string. This could be GREAT string for it's intended purposes, kind of like having summer tires on a car., but for me personally, I want a set of tires that are great all year round for multiple conditions, much like my trimmer (and edger, for me) string.

I've never seen any string this strong. I never had to bump my weed eater for extra string. I did my whole yard with the existing string. Incredible!

Great, durable line which lasts a long time. It is very "springy" which can make it tricky to feed into the Oregon speed feed head, but that's a minor quibble in what might be the best line I've used yet. (Husqvarna Titanium Force says "hold my beer").

Excellent line. 5/5 wear resistance easy to install. I have tried many brands so far this one is the best I have used.
