I really like these. You can cinch it up as tight as you need to for added support. I have a tendency to strain my calves this helps pretty well. I bought one and have another one coming.

Very easy to put on. Immediately helped my shin splints. The real test will be in the next 6 weeks as I walk the 500 mile El Camino de Santiago. The four instead of five rating was only because it seemed almost too big for me, though it still stayed put when I walked several miles with it on. It just didn't lie down smoothly when fastened because the bottom had to wrap around further than the middle and top to be snug enough, Still, I was very very pleased with the quality, ease of putting it on and the resulting compression of my calf and shin.

Works to protect lower legs. I cared for a frail disabled person who was constantly getting scratches and abrasions during transfers to his wheelchair. This product eliminated the problem.

Bought this calf brace back in January when I tore my calf muscle. It helped me heal quickly than only with physical therapy, and helped me walked (and feel secure) when making a step. I did not feel the pull in my calf as I did when I was not wearing it. The quality is great and it is very comfortable because you can tighten it up to your own needs, and it is not stiff. It is not a compression sleeve that you pull up and keeps it tight all day. This was perfect for my needs! I highly recommend it!!

This calf brace is very comfortable and very easy to put on. It has great support and it's my favorite by far. Now something I will absolutely recommend is wearing a sock under the brace or even those sports calf socks under the brace if you choose to wear on your skin. The brace will leave a mark on your skin and can irritate it. When I bought the sports calf sock, it did wonders for me (especially since I wear shorts a lot) and I was able to wear the brace for much longer without the irritation and sweat. Other than that, amazing brace and the best by far.

What I didn't like is that the design doesn't work. There is a good deal extra material at ankle which requires overlapping band to get a reasonably tight fit. Disappointed but too lazy to send back.

I tore my left calf muscle, not from sports, from walking down the stairs at home. My doctor gave me that God awful, huge boot to wear and it was a hassle to put on and walk with. I saw this brace and decided to try it. It is SO EASY to wear, lighter and gives me the right amount of support under the calf to feel comfortable walking (hobble) in it. I can wear it a full day at work and it doesn't itch or feel tight. It is stretchy with the right amount of tightness to feel secure. I love it. And I did a gentle cycle with a very small amount of soap, no softener and I let it air dry. And if you have muscular calves like me (17" ) there is enough stretch for them.
