Setpower AJ40, Reliable, versatile, and a great value!
We’ve had our Setpower AJ40 for a year now and use it constantly. It’s perfect for road trips and camping—keeps drinks and sandwiches cold without fail. We also use it for grocery runs to bulk stores and visits to Mom’s, especially in the Florida heat. Our truck has a built-in plug, so it’s super convenient to power on the go. During holidays and gatherings, it’s been great for extra fridge or freezer space. Reliable, versatile, and a great value!

Amazing cooler that works great.
Ive used this cooler all winter and throughout the summer and absolutely love it. In the winter we use it ice fishing to keep food at fridge temperature. The cooler does a great job at keeping things cool without freezing anything. In the summer this has lived on our boat. It keeps the drinks cool all day without using ice. Its also doubled as a freezer for ice cream on a hot summer day. The cooler is also smart enough to error out when there isnt enough power to start the compressor instead of stalling it out which I found to be a great feature.

Great cooler
I haven't used this a lot, but the few times I have it works great. It does take a little bit to cool down if the temperature is set in the 40s or lower. My cooler sits in my work van so it's been hot when I've turned the cooler on and this may have slowed down the cooling process some. However, once it's cooled down, it keeps everything cold. The cooler is quiet too as I hardly hear it running.

Good little fridge
Works excellent!! Keeps my colds cold, does drain my solar bank a bit more than I'd like... fits loosely in my fridge space of the camper. The plastic door chain is annoying.

Works well
Tested it with 7-8 drinks and saw air temp inside stay at the set temp 35 +/-5F on eco mode. Used it for a camping trip and it kept food and drinks nice and cold for the 3 days. The small section worked well for butter and fruit. Main compartment kept drinks, steaks, eggs, lunch meat and cheese perfect without freezing. Seemed that the fridge kept temps consistent throughout the compartment. ran for 5 days straight, including a day of testing, a day before trip packed, and 3 days camping. Eco and Max setting draw is on par as advertised. Insulation adds to efficiency as if only runs for a few minutes then turns off. It was off more than on, even in 70-75 degrees ambient during afternoons. 30 size was good for 3 days for family of 3, without optimized packing. Cools drinks quickly when replaced when one was taken out. Some condensation was found on the walls, but was in high humidity area/time- no puddles or anything on floor of fridge. Only tested, but temp was able to go to 0F, empty, as read on thermometer.

Outstanding Performance
We received the cooler in 2days as promised. We were traveling to Texas the next morning, set the cooler in backseat floor set temp to 33 degrees F. It reached its temp in a few minutes and held it without any deviation. For 3 days of the day trip it set outside in sun and shade with the day’s temperature highs range from 103 degrees to 105 degrees and it never moved from the 33 degree setting. The 12 hour drive home it was set to 0 degrees and filled with ice cream and other items with little unused space and it performed perfectly. Everything was frozen just as it was at the time of purchase. Outstanding!!! A very quiet cooler easy to operate with all the hardware you need. So the next test is how long will it last? With a 3 year compressor warranty and a reasonable price for a 55 quart capacity we are very pleased.

CHILLS!!!
We purchased this unit as an upgrade to our existing refrigerator only unit. We’ve done several tests and surprisingly it chills super fast, within 15 minutes. I’ve taken it to the 0° mark and was able to transport frozen ice cream with no problem. We tested it full of food at the 28° mark and everything Was kept equally cold to our home refrigerator. This is a great option for camping and I am so excited to not need any more ice. We’ve also tested it on our small gold labs solar power box. We would do the initial cooling on max mode, using the house plug or car charger and once out of the car, use the eco-mode with our solar box, which gave us at least six hours at the 28° mark. We also have a portable solar panel Which you can hook up in sync and allow it to run for a longer period of time. Our main concern was overnight cooling which we determined that with a six hour available charge on our solar box. It would hold the 28° temperature through the night from 11 PM till 5 AM. We’ve done several tests to see how long the freezer would remain cold without it being plugged in and that is two hours. Ultimately with no sun we can eight hours total cooling time. Then when you wake up in the morning, you plug it back into the car or the solar panel using the sun and continue on. I highly recommend this unit and I am very impressed with its compact size, but yet has more than enough room for all of our items that we typically take camping. the whites it needs to run our half of what our old little refrigerator took when on eco-mode. The eco-mode is super quiet, and I gotta say that the max mode is also quiet as I can hardly hear it so the noise level is exceptional. I would only recommend using the max mode if plugged into a car or house, since that would drain too much from our solar box and cut our call time and a half , the unit does weigh a little bit without food but it’s well worth it to avoid the bags of ice and melted water.

Fantastic and efficient fridge
I’ve used this several times now. Once for a week camping trip, several times for grocery shopping, and a road trip. This little fridge is a powerhouse that pulls very little power especially when set to “Eco” mode. For my camping trip, I had the Jackery and a 100 watt solar panel to power this fridge. To keep things cool, it was pulling around 13 watts from the Jackery with the fridge set at 39 degrees. If it needed to cool the fridge down more it would max out the pull at 55 watts. This was exactly what I wanted. During the night, it would only use between 18-25% of the Jackery. I did pass through charging during day which I don’t plan on continuing. I’m going to buy a second Jackery so I don’t have to continue pass through charging. For the shopping trips: it’s amazing how fast this thing cools down. I used it for a few shopping trips just because I had left it in the back of my SUV and decided to use it since it was there. I had a few sparkling waters in there that were plenty cool to drink after a couple errands. I live in a suburban area so I I’m not in the car a long time between places. I was amazed how cold the drinks were and how cold it kept everything even when the car wasn’t running. There’s little to no cold air escaping when the fridge is closed. So far I really like this workhorse of a fridge. It keeps things much cooler than a thermoelectric cooler. I haven’t used it as a freezer and I doubt I will, so I can’t attest to how it performs as a freezer, but based on my experience I think it would perform great as a freezer. It would just take more power because it doesn’t freeze on “Eco” mode from what I understand, but I could be wrong.
