Merrell Men's Moab 2 Vent Hiking Shoe

Have owned latest size 10 pair for just under 2 years now. They are still new looking and fit great (never wear in winter conditions and always use shoe horn to put on, plus clean w/water when needed). The only brand i can wear for long periods without hurting thanks to the insole and perfect width and size. Only complaint is that they are expensive but this has not kept me from buying. I know the quality. No surprises.

I’ve been buying versions of these shoes for probably ten years, they’re still some of the most comfortable moderate outdoor shoes. I wouldn’t recommend them for any extremely wet weather or slick surfaces but generally a good practical shoe. Now if only they could make slightly more city-appropriate shoes that were this comfortable.

Good shoe, was expecting a little more arch support than it has. Good traction. Fits to size for me (Man). There is also more heel support/lift than I was expecting. Wore them for several miles straight out of the box and very comfortable.

Light weight, good arch support, durable, breathes well. Don’t ever change.

I hike in my local Oregon state park hills about 5 miles 5 days a week. Loose condition trail, some rocky, this time of year some mud and wet conditions in general. This shoe works well for all of what I have thrown at it so far. Note I have not tried this trail yet in dry Summer like conditions, so time will tell about traction in that condition. But so far it's been great and comfortable with no break in required. Not the updated MOAB version 3 with what they say is an improved tread design, but this was less cost and works fine for me. Traction has been good in all conditions tried and no wet feet.

I have owned Merrell's for the last 30 years and I have not been disappointed. My wife and I hike a lot in the Rocky Mountains and we both have worn several pairs of Merrell's out. I've tried numerous other hiking shoes and I have yet to find a better, more comfortable hiking shoe. I don't understand all the complaints from other owners of Merrell's. They may complain about everything or they bought knock off Merrell's trying to save a buck. In my opinion, don't hesitate to purchase a great hiking shoe like these.

This is a great hiking shoe. Super comfortable, good support and good traction. There is no need for camp booties after hike. Just loosen the laces around camp and they are like moccasins. This is my second pair. The only issue is that they wear out much faster than stronger shoes. For me the comfort compensates for that deficiency. Go get a pair.

I really like these shoes. Why? the style and the durability...shipping was quick. I selected Vibram bottoms because from experience i knew that Vibram is durable far longer than most other material. They are comfortable !!! and comfort is a serious plus. They will outlast more other hiking shoes ..these can be used for ANY outdoor activities......from hiking to just running around town the price is always important and the price on these was VERY reasonable.. They were an easy choice!!!

I’ve bought the Moab so many times over the years I’ve lost count. This shoe fits amazing right out of the box - no breaking in - no blisters - just perfect comfort and support from Day 1 to day 1001. My only complaint is that the colour depicted here looks more green than the shoe is. I got what I ordered - Walnut, but it was more taupe than the photos look. Previous generations I’d bought a green that looked not far from this, but I guess they don’t make them that colour anymore.

Certainly comfortable out of the box once you have the correct size. Merrell run small i have to go up 1.5 sizes. They look good are made well and comfortable what more could you want.
