Great spice!
I got this for making my cucumber kimchi. I loved it! Great flavor! It added the right amount of heat I wanted. If i want more heat just add more of this spice! This is versatile for any kimchi I choose to make. I just really love the cucumber kimchi! This spice seeded to be very fresh, beautiful, bright color, wonderful aroma This was my first time purchase of this spice and I'll do it again. I was so glad to have found it here on Amazon! I feel I got great value for my money! I highly recommend this spice!

Perfectly spicy and great for Kimchi
I’ve bought the exact same product from a local store before, so I already knew I liked it. I needed coarse gochugaru to make kimchi, but I really didn’t want to make a trip to the store. Luckily, I found this on Amazon, which was very convenient. I made regular kimchi and cucumber kimchi, and both turned out delicious. The spice level is just right. The bottle was well sealed, and the lid is easy to use. I ordered it on August 3, 2026, and the expiration date is July 25, 2027. I am satisfied with this purchase.

Fresh, colorful and awesome flavor
Used it in my first batch of homemade kimchi and the kimchi is absolutely delicious. It has some zing to it. This will be the spice of choice in my cabbage fermenting journey for sure. I will definitely buy from here again.

Flavor and but not too spicy
Just love this. I use it a lot instead of peppers. I enjoy the flavor and a little heat Very good quality and the taste is also very good. It adds more flavor to food.

Much less spicy than chili flakes but with all the flavor
I like the flavor of chili, but I can't take the heat! At least I can't take too much heat. These gochugaru flakes are a great alternative to chili flakes because they are not nearly as spicy but have a great smoky chili flavor. I add four or five times as much of these as the chili flakes I used to use, which means I get a lot of flavor and color without making my food too spicy for me to eat! Also, eight ounces is a big container (bigger than a Coke can), so even though I use a lot, these will last me for a while, which means these are great value for money, too.
