I drilled a hole in my Jeep to install this in the dash and it looks great. My usb port were 2.0 but this 3.0 works exactly the same. Very satisfied with the materials. Everything is very sturdy and should last quite awhile.

DOES NOT WORK FOR DATA TRANSFER WITH iPhone!!!
DOES NOT WORK FOR DATA TRANSFER!!! It only works for power. I purchased this to connect my iPhone to my Kenwood radio (CarPlay) in my truck. After connection, I get a communications error. No data connectivity. I also tested it by connecting my iPhone & lightning cable through this USB cable to my computer. The connection failed every time and iTunes froze until I unplugged it. Just to be sure, I then tested just the iPhone & Apple lightning cable and everything worked fine. I'm very disappointed that the product description didn't correct state this was for power only.
