DIY Gem Painting - Pink Tree (16"x20" - On Wooden Frame)

This item turned out awesome! I got this as a gift for my boss' birthday, so I was a little hesitant jumping into something so large. You are given lots of extra gems, which is a relief (I accidentally lost plenty while working on it). The gem stick has a square end (these are SQUARE gems) and a round end, and I love the solid stick so much better than the cheap, hollow, metal-tipped sticks that came with the other kits. Mounted well, there's hard chipboard behind the canvas, so no risk of accidentally poking through it. The kit also comes with tweezers--super helpful when you accidentally scatter gems everywhere on exposed glued surface.The only complaints that I have is that the tray and the symbols chosen. The gem tray that the kit comes with is rectangular and is wider than the bags, so it does make pouring excess gems back into the bag a chore. I took the tray from another, cheaper kit (with more of a boat-like shape) and that worked perfectly. The symbols posed a slight challenge, as there are two symbols that are very similar, and I had to get really close to the board to tell the difference. But really, it was worth it, my boss loved it!
