NINJA Kettle [KT201UK] Perfect Temperature, Stainless Steel, 1.7L, Rapid Boil, Hold Temp

Love it! The function of holding the temperature is underrated. I didn’t realize how much I needed it until I had it.

The kettle is not working at all and it seems that this item was returned in the past as screw marks are clear at the bottom of the item

Was operating fine for the first 8 months then started rusting around the cover and on the bottom of the kettle on the inside near the temperature sensor. Just not what you expect from a product that is designed to hold water. Especially not at this price.

Stoped working after 1 year Im so disappointed such item should work perfectly for much more longer.

It heats up very fast and also tells you the temperature of the water. Great product!

Beautiful kettle. Would have been better with an Australian power plug. Fortunately I had an adapter from English to Australian.

Excellent Kettle. The display makes it easy to use, it is well built and very sturdy on the base, even when full with water. The kettle handle makes it easy to grip and hold steady while pouring. It heats fast, even to boiling and holds the heat as described. The easy ability to heat water to a specific temperature is a game changer and used it for a number of other uses not just hot drinks. Ninja is a quality brand, looks great and you know the features of it are always going to meet expectations.

It works great, it looks nice, there's different temperatures choices if you want it for different types of teas or for anything else. It's a kettle it boils the water, I love it.

Have a love hate relationship with this kettle. I had the temperature adjustable Bosch one for several years which decided to give up so thought the ninja would be an upgrade, the selling point was the stainless steel water tank opposed to a plastic one and I was hoping for good things. Where the metal tank is concerned, drinks definitely taste nicer. But my love of this kettle stops there - it’s completely flawed and cheaply designed. Firstly, it’s a burn hazard. Total burn hazard. The exterior of the kettle gets so hot and stays hot for ages, my Le Cruset stove top kettle doesn’t get this hot so there’s clearly a problem here. Appreciate it will get a bit hotter not being plastic, but it definitely needed better insulation and this is due to the thin metal case. Secondly the temperature control is completely over engineered, my last kettle let you choose the temperature in 10 degree intervals, this one lets you do it so precisely that to achieve your desired temperature it does bizarre things like starting and stopping 15+ times to whilst it tries to balance getting the exact temperature whilst heat is being lost through the thin uninsulated body. It sits there whirring, stopping and starting and doing all sorts of random heating cycles for like 3 minutes to get its precision. It’s a joke. And finally the overall design is just janky. It feels thin and I doubt it will last long. The apparent fingerprint free exterior is a load of kaka as mine is already looking awful after two days use. For the price (I got this on offer) I’ll keep hold of it as it’s five stars from me just for the stainless steel tank. However I’m generally disappointed but I don’t know why I expected better as every Shark Ninja product I’ve bought has been utter rubbish and not worth the hype. I reckon I’ll probably be buying my old Bosch kettle within a few months. UPDATE: 4 months of use resulted in the base throwing up error messages and it thinking it was boiled at 60 degrees. Shark dispatched a new base within a few days and so far so good..
