I highly recommend this device for any vertical mounting (table, computer stand, etc.), but not for headboard. Even though I had to use it differently than expected, I LOVE it, and I think the unexpected use is better than the one I intended.PROS1) This is a cool-looking, sturdy, well-designed, easy-to-use device for iPad. I was surprised how substantial it is--no toy.2) It fits pretty much any sized notebook, including an iPad in a gumbdop cover if you remove all the foam padding on the screen grip.3) FOUR adjustment points keep everything in place if used on a table-top type base: 1) The clamp adjusts on the base, 2) An adjustment knob at the base controls the swiveling of the whole unit, 3) an adjustment knob behind the screen grip allows the grip to hold in portrait or landscape or any orientation you want, and 4) a slide adjustment changes length/width of the screen grip.When the arm is clamped to a table or stand, the arm can be bent into any position perfectly. I clamp it to my little computer stand by the bed and use it for viewing in bed. It's awesome. No more propping the iPad up against my pillows, losing it under covers, craning my neck to watch TV or NetFlix or Hulu, etc. And I can even reposition to play solitaire. My husband wants one for his iPad, too, now, because it has a cool war-of-the-worlds-alien-recon-robot look with long neck swiveling anywhere. We like it in white, particularly.CONSI bought this to use on a bed headboard (not a table) to hold my iPad, but it doesn't seem to be built very well for that. Here's why: On a table, it's designed to stand up vertically and then it bends over as needed to adjust height and swivels from side to side from the clamp on the table. Perfect. However, on a headboard, imagine the whole device tipped 90 degrees so it juts out horizontally. The arm bends side to side instead of up and down, and the swivel angles from the clamp are no longer useful.I highly recommend this for any vertical mounting and not for horizontal mounting.

It works, but you have to have a sturdy "ledge" to attach it too. It is nice to be able to watch movies on your ipad mini, hands free, while in bed.

Cheap and wobbly. Not recommended for any regular sized iPads.

Flimsy and weak - wouldn't stay in place and the mount was not confidence inspiring. Sent back as it was clear that this would not work out.
