I have had a Scanpan griddle for at least 10 years but it finally was beginning to fail from years of metal pancake turners. I was happy to find there new model I picked the one with the convection-ready base because I hope to replace my stove in the next 2-3 years. It works just as well as my original, foods don't stick and careful use of my favorite pancake turner do not seem to effect it. Some reviewers complain about the weight. I do not find the weight to be a problem, I like a substantial pan that does not warp when heated. I am in my 70s and if I can deal with my enameled cast iron dutch oven, the griddle certainly isn't a problem.

This pan is heavy and looks to be well made. It has a round disk on the bottom of the pan. No doubt made of steel and encapsulated with aluminum. Which makes the pan suitable for induction type cooking. Also given the piece of steel on the bottom of the pan encapsulated with aluminum. I would say that it would be almost impossible for the pad to warp. As that steel disk provides incredible strength against warp-age. I did deduct one star given the pans 11"x11" dimensions. As I am accustom to cooking with an 12"x12". The reduction in size driven maybe to help cut the cost for the encapsulated steel disk. I so wish that company's would raise their prices rather then cut corners! In closing I would say that if you are not bothered by the dimensions of the pan. I believe you would be hard pressed to find a better quality pan! I received no discount for this review, nor do I represent the company in any way!

I have 3 Scanpan CS+ skillets that I have been using for a long while. They are designed to work in an Induction Hob. I wanted a Scanpan griddle that would work with Induction as well. I had read about this one and decided to give it a try. So far it has worked as expected. It doesn't take long to heat up on the Induction Hob and once hot retains the heat due to the thick bottom piece. I use it several times a week and so far it has not disappointed me. It is easy to clean and if you follow the instructions should be as durable as their other products. It has many Pro's and probably one Con...that being the price. It was not cheap by any means, but so far I am well pleased with it.

I cannot say enough good things about this pan. I started with sirloin steak. I heated the pan while coating the meat with olive oil and seasoning. Within 10 minutes, I had fork-cutting tender juicy steak. Then I tried my old nemesis - pork chops. This time I brushed the olive oil on the pan before heating, then placed the seasoned chops in the hot pan. About 8 minutes later I pulled off the best pork chops I had ever prepared on top of the stove. Very juicy. Reheated leftovers were equally good.This pan cleans like a dream. You can almost wipe it clean with a paper towel. I have not put it through the dishwasher because it cleans up so well by hand.The pan shows no wear and tear after almost 5 months' of use, and I don't see that changing.I use a ceramic cook-top.

I have been looking for a new griddle for over a year now and this is the right one!!! It is heavy but to me that means you need not worry about warping. You do have to wait a little longer than those light weight griddles to heat up but well worth it because it also retains the heat and you don't have to turn your burners on such a high number when cooking. My husband has decided to take over cooking breakfast now since I got this griddle he loves how it cooks expecially his pancakes !!

What they sent me was a flat griddle and not the bumpy one shown in the photo.

Photos and descriptions are wrong, based on what I received, and keeps switching back and forth between marketplace sellers as far as who it is actually sold by. Photos show the grill pan, which is what I wanted. Even the comparison by Amazon shows "this item" as a grill pan. Looking closer at the description, I missed the part that says " This set includes 9" and 11" skillets." What I received was the GRIDDLE (flat with no edges), NOT the GRILL pan as shown in ALL the photos. Certainly wasn't a 9" and 11" skillet included, as the description says. Even the reviews from customers are confusing as some talk about the grill pan and some talk about the griddle.Gave up on Amazon for this item as I didn't want to go through ordering from the marketplace again and taking my chances on getting the item I really wanted.. Ordered from another company at a better price.If you actually get a ScanPan GRILL pan, then you'll probably love it! I loved our previous one which has lasted at least 5 years now. Finally got to the point where it's just too hard to clean any more, and the non-stick finish has worn away. Was looking for another of the same, as I really enjoyed it.

The narrowly spaced grill lines are evident on even small slices of vegetables, such as zucchini, etc. Beautiful quick sears and into the oven with foul, to finish off protein and leaving it moist and not dried out. Simple! Easy to clean!Do, however, wish there were a lid for it, but considering it is a grill pan, one can't have it all. It is what it is. I will buy often as gifts. Best price thus far, by as much as $40 less on Amazon.

The PRO IQ grillpan sent does not match the current pictures. I was expecting a square grillpan with low sides and a flat surface suitable for pikelets or fried eggs. Recieved a square grillpan with high sides and a ridged surface most suitable for grilling meats or vegetables. Will keep the grillpan but it is not what I wanted.

The item delivered was not the item described, as other have said - beware!
