Worth a try … parties … the young …
This is a 2021 New Zealand wine, 13.5% vol. alcohol. The bottle has a metal screw cap.Mildly sweet (rigorous cooling in a fridge or on ice therefore not obligatory), it is pleasant in the drinking, with none of the harshness or acidity that you might fear would go with a cheap wine, especially one so new.Neither, of course, does it have the ‘sophistication’ of, say, white Burgundy wines of long-established reputation. That being said, though, it is closer to being ‘a wine drinker’s wine’ than very many that are really just sweet grape juice with alcohol.A feature of this wine that would turn off some wine drinkers, but appeal to others, is that, whilst far short of being a sparkling wine as such, it has a definite ‘seltzer’ characteristic. So, this could be one for the young (but not too young, please) and for parties. But it’s all a matter of personal taste. Some would love this wine; others reject it. You can but try it and find out for yourself. Watch out for the alcohol: 13.5% is ‘going it’. Eat some good, fresh bread as you drink, and drink at least an equivalent quantity of water too.

Good value and I love it.
My favourite wine is a dry white. I love a lot of the Australian wines, but I don’t think I’ve ever tried one from New Zealand before. I’m not a wine connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination. This 75cl bottle of wine arrives well protected. The first thing to note is that it has a screw top and not a cork. In many ways this is a plus as it’s easier to seal the bottle if you don’t drink it all in one sitting. I know that many people see a screw top as being a sign of a cheaper wine and therefore not worthy of their time. What a load of …!As soon as the seal is broken you get a lovely bouquet of citrus fruits and a very slight musky smell. Once poured into a glass you can see that it’s virtually clear like water. The first taste was a bit of a shock as I had imagined it being a bit on the sweet side, and it’s definitely not! If, like me, you enjoy a dry wine then this one is for you. There is a hint of rhubarb and gooseberry sourness which is very pleasant. It has a very nice after burn as it makes its way to your stomach!Overall, good value and I love it. I hope that helps.

Can't get over the nose..
In all my years of wine appreciation, I have NEVER come across a white wine with a nose like this - as soon as the glass nears your face the delicious aromas of passion fruit are leaping towards your nostrils like an excited puppy - most extraordinary for a white wine.I always prefer the Southern Hemisphere Sauvignon blancs as they're vinted at cooler temperatures which tends to bring out the fruit flavours whilst avoiding the acidity and almost salad-like palate of their Northern Hemisphere cousins. The nose of the Stoneleigh is just a foretaste (forescent?) of the delicious, full-bodied fruit on the palate, there are hints of the classic Sauvignon blanc 'grassy' notes but here they merely set off and accentuate the joyous, vibrant fruit. At 13.5 ABV it's somewhat stronger than one would expect but its lovely crisp finish after the initial explosion of fruit makes it very easy (and most enjoyable) to drink.A bouquet of olfactory joy for even the most jaded oenophile. Exceptional.

A GREAT COMPANION FOR YOUR EVENING MEAL
This sauvignon blanc from the acclaimed Wairau Valley, Marlborough is beautiful and everything you would expect of a wine from this wonderful region. It is very crisp, light and easy to drink. It is described as citrus on the palate. To my palate I would describe it as juicy peach and apricot moving into citrus in flavour. It's a perfect drink for summer and really complements grilled chicken we had with it and I would suggest it would pair well with any meal. It's a delightful dry white wine not too acidic and well worth it's price tag.

Very Impressive
I normally opt for a red wine and I don't have a great deal of experience with New Zealand wines, but if this Stoneleigh Sauvignon is anything to go by I'm soon going to be delving into that country's wine produce a lot more. This white wine is both fruity and refreshing. Not sweet but not sharp either. You just get a smooth fruity flavour with a hint of zing. Its smells fresh as soon as you pour a glass. Its the kind of wine I can happily drink on its own or with a meal. It leaves a very pleasant after taste. Highly recommended.

Too too drinkable!
New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is my wine of choice. This is a 2021, weighing in at a reasonable 13.5%, not the 13 which is mentioned above. At the current price of £10 for a 75cl bottle, it comes around the middle of my buying range.I like this wine lightly-chilled. It will pair easily with vegetable/salad/fish/seafood starters and mains but is also good for an appetite sharpener or just to sip at a party. This one delivers all that the regular Marlborough SB drinker loves to find. The citrus and the honey, the slight astringency and mellowness, and, in this case, the subtle alcohol "kick".It is an adaptable wine, brilliant for summer, luxurious on the palate and too, too drinkable.Highly recommended.

Nice and refreshing
Not a lot to say about this wine other than it’s very nice. I’m not generally super excited about white wine as I prefer red and spirits. But this wine is actually very nice and refreshing and if you subscribe to a regular order you get it 50p cheaper.A bit pricey even if nice especially given that you can pick up really good wines at the supermarket these days. But having said that I’ve got so used to having everything delivered during lock down it is convenient to order online and knowing my luck if I went to the supermarket to get wine I’d be guaranteed to pick up items I don’t need and would end up spending more than a tennerI hope you found this review helpful
