These are much tougher than other compostables and even plastic bin bags
I have tried several makes and most are very similar to each other all being a lighter green and easy to tear. However I was fed up with them dissolving half way between the kitchen bin and the wheelie bin outside. Especially as most of my non-recylable rubbish is cat litter. One day that may change: watch this space: I am an optimist and when I saw that Amazon do toilet seats for cats I thought to myself "why not?" and then "I don't have to tell my psychiatrist everything I do." (Well subject to what is allowed under the Court Order but that's another story). Well actually my two are Maine Coons and the breed is not known for their brain power. So it might not work. But to get them used to it I go up with them to the bathroom every time to encourage them in their pursuit. (Toilet talk for cats...the neighbours looked worried and my psychiatrist just laughed . So I got him back by showing him my cat loo photos. I offered him copies but he didn't want... strange man)But I digress.Anyway, I was meant to be writing a review about my experience with these DARKER GREEN, noticeably thicker, 60 litre bags: Yup!They are good and have a WIDE ENOUGH OPENING TO FIT THE SWING BIN. This is important. They are also wide enough to cover the end of the cat litter tray so the litter slides in without any mess at all.So, perfect bags and they last the distance (about 20 metres actually, kitchen to wheelie bin). Thanks for reading. These bags can go seven days without degrading providing that they haven't been so wet that they have stuck to the wall of the bin for long. Why are they better? They are darker green than the others. They also have a slight bounce to them like a ... er...bouncy balloon. That makes them less likely to tear. And 60 litres is a good size.

Best compostable liners
I’ve been using these for a long time now and they are the best compostable bin liners. They are strong enough for everyday use and never split. From a small business and plastic free - what’s not to like :)

Just as described
Good strong bin bags, just the right size. Might be a little more expensive, but you get quality for your money,

Compostable refuse sacks
The compostable refuse sacks are fit for purpose. 4 rolls of 10x60 litre bags suitable for most tall bins up to 50-60l capacity. The bags look and feel very thin but are strong enough, they don’t split or tear during use but as with this type of product, they do naturally degrade over time and should be used within about 10 months. The bags do not have any drawstring or tie handles which would have been much better.£18.49 (at the time of review) is very expensive for something that is fully disposable, working out to over 46 pence per bag. Using 1-2 per week will last me around 6 months. Good eco friendly option but does come at a higher cost. I would like to see these more widely available and at better value.

Excellent product - but expensive...
Certified compostable and biodegradable to Australian, US and European standards these are without doubt excellent environmentally friendly waste bags from Eco Green Living. They even arrives in a recyclable brown cardboard box with each pack of 10 bags banded with a kraft paper wrap giving further information about the product's eco credentials.I normally buy 50 litre drawstring plastic bags for my kitchen bin. A 20 pack costs £2.50. These 60L Eco Green Living Bags are perfect in every way and fit my bin with room to spare meaning there's no problem tying the tops. They're also strong. However, at time of writing the price is £17.99 for 40 bags.As is so often the case, a huge price differential like this - not the quality of the product - would be a major deterrent to me re-ordering these very good bin bags. The idea really with these would be to place compostable materials inside them and to compost the lot I assume - but this may not be practical for everyone and presently there seems to be a variance as to what different local authorities will accept as green waste.I would recommend this product if the cost isn't a problem. I guess the hope would be that the more people buy them, the more the cost may come down. Certainly many people, irrespective of income level, would rather buy green as we all realise the damage being done to our planet. But at present, like a fair number of eco-friendly products, these bags are just further evidence of the two tier society we increasingly appear to be inhabiting.

great for household waste
Using them for my kitchen's bin. Since we have another special food waste bin so this bin is for ordinary waste only, eg. unrecycable food packages. The bin liners are compostable and recyclable, which is the best alternative for plastic bags. Unlike some compostable bin liners, these are rather strong and durable. They do not eaisly tear or break for ordinary household waste which are not too heavy. Wish they had tie handles which are easy to tie and secure the waste in the bags.
