I am a straight razor shaver so I completely understand the stropping of a razor. However, when I travel I use the Gillette Fusion disposable razors. I found this strop and thought I would give it a try. I stropped my old razors and noticed a huge difference. I now use this every time I shave and have literally double the life of my Fusion disposables. The other reviewer gave this a bad rating without even trying this product. Well, I am telling you that this works, and with Fusion razors at $39.99 for a pack of 12, this strop has paid for itself.

This item is useless. It doesn’t work any better than using a towel for the same purpose and probably not as well.

I haven't purchased this product and am only submitting this review because I couldn't find where to ask a question. Regarding the usefulness of this product, I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would want a strop for a disposable razor. For disposable razor blades for a safety razor the blades cost around 10 cents per blade so the cost of this product would be equivalent to several years worth of blades for a safety razor. I also cannot understand how it could keep a cartridge razor sharp as the razor is somewhat encased and and also unless you are purchasing very expensive blades it doesn't seem to be that good of savings for the additional work you would need to do to use the product.
