It worked perfectly. With a female/female garden hose coupler, I was able to put this on the male end of a garden hose. The other end of the hose is attached to a water transfer pump.The screen is fine and holds shape quite well. It's big enough that I can't feel any suction even if I wrap my hand around it while the pump is on. For reference, without this on the end, the pump damn near sucked one of my fingers off when I was foolish enough to put it near the hose.I wasn't able to find another item like this on Amazon.

I ordered this to filter water running through a pump being pulled from a stream. The second time I used it I saw it had popped off in the water. I had to walk out into the stream to find the screen. I'll have to find some way to keep the screen on maybe cable tie a sock over the screen to keep it together.

I wasn’t going to use this at first as I had a larger filter I thought would be better. This is attached to a hose in my pond for remote watering with a tiny utility pump. It ended up working great and seems to filter just fine. Would buy again if needed.

Works well with my garden hose

I bought this to screen out leaves and other debris while siphoning water off my pool cover from a regular garden hose. It works perfectly! No complaints!

Prefect strainer for attaching to a garden hose when used as the suction for a pump.

Nicely made, and doing good service as the intake filter for a bilge pump.
