Daughter and I love to cook together and I figured it was time to get her some quality knives. Henckels offers great quality at a nice price and they feel great in your hands. Sharp looking and razor sharp right out of the box. Not only are the knives sharp looking but so is the storage block. Great addition to our kitchen!

I love this knife set. I bought the silver and black set and it is beautifully made. Bargain for the price, actually. One of the few purchases that, if you are able to, you should splurge on.

This knife set was so sharp the first month or so I cut myself 3-4 times as I wasn't use to a knife set that sharp.

Clean lines and blades are sharp! I really like the smooth edged blades vs. the serrated. I can make a clean and straight cut with the smooth blades where the serrated blade seem to drift from straight. (SEE UPDATE) Very easy to clean and store. I don't put them in the dishwasher as it is so simple to wash them by hand and put them away. The handles have enough texture to keep them from being slippery in the hand. They are very attractive on display. UPDATE: Santoku KNIFE BLADE IS NOT STRAIGHT I tried using it to cut meat and cheese and the blade would always go to the right instead of straight down. I thought I was at fault but when I used the larger butcher knife I was cutting and slicing true. Return window closed quickly so I can't return the set for a new one. I love using the rest of the knives, just wish I could get a replacement for the one that is not true. Contacted Hinkle late March and they are sending me a replacement Santoku knife. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I got this as a treat yo self birthday present to myself after always getting cheap ones over the years and it was well worth the money. They stay sharp, the thickness of the handle is awesome, balance is great! Durability could be better, my pairing knife has a little rust but nothing a good polish couldn’t get rid of!

Henckels is a subsidiary of Zwilling. I remembered the latter as a quality brand in Germany, and liking the design of this knife set I ordered it. The Santoku knife had 4 nicks in the blade, so I contacted Henckels to see if they would replace the damaged item. They referred me to Amazon for return or replacement. Having purchased Zwilling poultry shears a few years ago that had arrived damaged and took two returns to receive a properly working product, I decided to no longer purchase from Henckels/Zwilling.
