Is this inside stainless steel?

Hi - Wendy from Tall Ridge here - Thank you for your inquiry! The Hydro Flask Coffee Mugs are made from 18/8 Stainless Steel wrapped in a soft touch finish for a cozy feel in your hands. I hope that is helpful!

Is the lid insulated?

The lid is plastic. The mug does a pretty good job of keeping coffee hot.

What is the practical capacity of the 12 oz mug ?

I got the 24 oz because I like 2 cups of coffee in the morning and with this cup it keeps that amount of coffee hot hot hot!. The whole point for me was keeping my coffee caliente. But if you drink less than then 12 oz works well too. Great top so you can travel with it . Highly recommend !!! Also can use for cold beverages but for me it was coffee and it has a great big handle which makes it comfortable to hold.

For the 24 ounce 2021 model, does the lid have a slide closure like in the stores?

I have one that is two years old and it has the slider lid.

Good thermal mug

I like this mug, it‘s big enough to hold a cappuccino. It keeps my coffee cold or hot depending on what I choose. The mug‘s exterior is nice to hold, soft and it insulates from the cold or hot liquid inside the cup. I‘m happy with it :)
