So far I have nothing negative to say about this product. I have had type 2 diabetes for several years and I have been on many prescription meds for it over those years and all of them came with horrific side effects that made my life miserable. Eventually I quit all the meds and cleaned up my diet and added a sustainable exercise routine. I check my blood sugar several times a day and I couldn't get the numbers down with diet and exercise alone so I researched and found this Berberine. It has actual scientific studies backing it up. I tried it and almost immediately I saw a vast improvement in my waking glucose which was always high due to the overnight "liver dump" syndrome. My waking number would be around 180 and the first week it dropped to 150. My weekly averages have gone from 175 to 145. My last A1c was about 3 months ago before I started this supplement and it was a deplorable 8.7 and I plan on getting another A1c next month and I expect it to be well under 7.0 given the weekly averages I am seeing. I am absolutely thrilled. I do take more than is recommended though as I am overweight and I believe while I am overweight I will need the higher dose to maintain these numbers. I am losing weight though and a little faster since I started the Berberine. Not sure if the Berberine is contributing to that or not because I also swim and walk daily. I Take 2 capsules morning, noon, and night. I also take magnesium and chromium picolinate as well. Anyway I am exceedingly pleased with this product thus far. I really dont know until get new A1C bloodwork results but happy to find this instead of what I was taking. If money is not your concern then buy more expensive but it's mine. I take many many different supplements they add up. It might allow me to continue my ice cream eating bad habit until I can see my endocrinologist for metformin. Btw, I'm not diabetic ( yet ), but pre-. Been seeing endo for 8 years, stopped going. Now just made appt. Decided not to chance with this. Also read from Dr Jugler(?)'s book Clean Gut Berberine helps clean our gut of biofilm.

I chose this because of the price and its promises. My cholesterol number did improve a little, but since I also changed my eating habits a bit, I cannot be sure if this was the reason. The product arrived in good time and packaged well.

I'm trying to control both cholesterol and blood sugar and want to stop taking prescriptions for them. I don't monitor my sugar daily as I am borderline type 2, and won't have blood work done again for a few weeks. In the meantime I am taking this product and another in place of my Rx. I feel a bit better, but the acid test will be the numbers when the blood work is done.

I switched to this brand of Berberine for several months, as it was priced better than the other options. Prior to switching, my blood work at my annual physical was great, especially my lipid panel. After using this Superior brand, both my lipids and my blood sugar results were poor.After I stopped using the Superior Berberine, and switched back to the more expensive product, my blood work was back to an acceptable range.While I highly recommend Berberine as a supplement, I will not buy this Superior brand again.

The product is well packaged and manufactured. As I have aged, my A1c continued to increase to a borderline problem.. I added this product and became more disciplined in my eating habits and the result is much better on the A1c. I believe this product helps.
