This video player is perfect for my disabled daughter. It’s compact and very portable. My favorite feature is the handle, not just for the portability, but it allows me to hang it off a hook inside my car. For us that’s a lifesaver. I can also carry it into a restaurant or any location where I need to provide her with her own personal entertainment. The picture is clean. It’s been dropped many times, but still works just fine. The battery works at least two hours. I’ve had my first one for at least six months and I’m buying a second one to specifically keep in the our car for trips. The screen is fairly small, but for us, that’s not an issue. I’ve had at least 12 different portable DVD players in the last 10 years and most of them are pretty fragile. This is by far the best design.

I believe it has the same software as most full size DVD players, it has functions perfectly so far. I used the headphone jack to connect to portable speaker. The built in speaker is on the quiet side (which may be a good thing on road trips), but sound output through the headphone jack is loud (with the portable speaker volume up), crisp and clear, no distortion, it sounds good. I haven't tested any of the buttons on the unit, but the included remote is surprising well designed and stylish (similar to the style of a full size DVD player), it works perfectly and has good range. I bought the purple and it looks great, it's compact enough to fold up and store on a typical book shelf, the unit feels well built and is heavy enough to stay station, but light enough for any child to carry. I will be buying more just have extras.

Update: It started working again! Update: It died after 18 months of almost daily use. It shut down mid-movie and never turned back on again. Waaah! I suppose I got my money's worth. Original review: This exceeded my expectations. Pros: * The screen is sharp and clear if you adjust the screen angle. * The battery charge lasts a couple hours if you choose not to plug it into the wall. * It has a built-in handle, so it's very portable. * Although it doesn't pick up where you left off, you can skip from chapter/scene to scene easily and not have to start over. * The buttons are intuitive/easy to operate. Cons: - Yes, the audio is too low at max volume. I'm getting a mini speaker, but you can use earbuds. - The on/off switch is rather tiny and hidden. When I first tried to play a disc I forgot about the switch, so I momentarily thought it was broken.

I drive a 1997 Toyota RAV4 that I bought new (don't laugh, it's in great shape and has only 137,000 miles on it). I've gone through two CD players in the years I've owned the car, and this time I wasn't interested in spending much money to replace the CD player. I did some research and decided on this little player. I can't plug it into my car's audio (my car, as I mentioned, is a 1997 so doesn't have an audio input jack), so I just set it on the passenger seat. I do plug it into the cigarette lighter. I've read reviews that the volume wouldn't go up high enough, however I haven't played it at higher than even half-volume, and I can hear it just fine. The sound of course, not going through great speakers, is a little short on bass, but still it's great, and no skipping. I also like how compact and discreet it is, and can be left in my car. It's lightweight, folds shut and has a little handle. I haven't tried playing DVDs in it yet but that's not what I bought it for. Anyway I've been very pleased with it overall.

I am pleased with this device. It seems to be exactly as described. It is very stable and can be moved without skipping or affecting the performance. It doesn't seem to have a bluetooth transmitter, but I didn't expect it to, and I was easily able to find a compatible converter for a reasonable cost. Thank you!

The product worked and played DVDs. The reason of the 3-star is because the external speakers are really bad. If anyone is talking within the house, even on different floors, I cannot hear the audio from a DVD or CD. I must be within 3 feet to hear sounds from the external speakers. A headset works fine... However, I did not buy this to watch movies while wearing a headset. I am unsure why there is a remote because you cannot be more than 3 feet from the unit when using it. Traveling in a car without a good pair of headphones, the cover the ears, would make this unit useless in my opinion.
