I believe it has the same software as most full size DVD players, it has functions perfectly so far. I used the headphone jack to connect to portable speaker. The built in speaker is on the quiet side (which may be a good thing on road trips), but sound output through the headphone jack is loud (with the portable speaker volume up), crisp and clear, no distortion, it sounds good. I haven't tested any of the buttons on the unit, but the included remote is surprising well designed and stylish (similar to the style of a full size DVD player), it works perfectly and has good range. I bought the purple and it looks great, it's compact enough to fold up and store on a typical book shelf, the unit feels well built and is heavy enough to stay station, but light enough for any child to carry. I will be buying more just have extras.

This video player is perfect for my disabled daughter. It’s compact and very portable. My favorite feature is the handle, not just for the portability, but it allows me to hang it off a hook inside my car. For us that’s a lifesaver. I can also carry it into a restaurant or any location where I need to provide her with her own personal entertainment. The picture is clean. It’s been dropped many times, but still works just fine. The battery works at least two hours. I’ve had my first one for at least six months and I’m buying a second one to specifically keep in the our car for trips. The screen is fairly small, but for us, that’s not an issue. I’ve had at least 12 different portable DVD players in the last 10 years and most of them are pretty fragile. This is by far the best design.

Seems to do as it says. If you want to use in car the volume may be low.

Tired of relying on YouTube! Lol! Pop in some.oñd school CDs and DVDs. The sound is ok and the volume is not as load as I would have liked. But hey, it's perfect for power outages as long as you charge it ahead of time. Also the material is not fancy. It looks like a good toy vs the old school DVD prayers that looked fancy. This is great because no one will steal your "toy" if you accidentally leave it on the counter. It has a handle which is great for kids to transport it to the other room without breaking it. The screen is way smaller than old school DVD players. But it works. The quality aligns with the price.I like it! Glad I bought it! I avoid buying off-brand items for electronics, chargers and ink.

Bought for my great grands who were going on a 10 hour car trip. Enable everyone to arrive sane & in good spirits. The price was more than reasonable.

I got this for my 7 year old! It's very kid friendly, and I love that it can be carried around. The volume is great and remote is awesome!

Very disappointed ☹️ I ordered this DVD player in Dec 2024, I JUST opened the box a few weeks ago, was a birthday gift, and it's making a horrible noise when I turn it on, with the disc inside. I've followed all instructions. Can't get any of the DVDs to play, I'm afraid to mess with it, afraid it will ruin my DVDs. I've tried 4 DVDs, 2 of them brand new, just out of the cases, and player is making same horrible noise when I turn it ON. So now I guess I'm out of the $59.95+TX that I paid. I feel horrible about this. Thought MAGNAVOX was a good brand, I guess not? Ive had a little DVD player for 10+ years, SONY, never had any issues. Got this one for a gift, no good. Guess they just don't make good products anymore. I'll never order anything from MAGNAVOX again. :-( Only rated this product 1 star because it wouldn't let me submit review w/o a rating.
