Gimbal Bearing Puller Remover, Bearing Installer and Engine Alignment Tools Set & 18-9861 Hinge Pin Tool Fit for Mercruiser Alpha Alpha1 MR Bravo

This tool package fit my Merc Bravo 2 perfectly. It arrived in a cut foam box which allowed nothing to rub or get damaged. The bearing puller worked easily pulling a 7 year old gimbal bearing out. It showed no wear on the threads at all after use. I expected it to show some because of the low price of this kit. It was great not having to fight a slide hammer puller. The alignment tool is fine drilling the hole for the bearing installer could be a pain. I have a mill so it was easy for me to do it. After drilling the hole I decided not to use it, I would recommend just finding a pipe that slips over the alignment bar and let the installer collar slide on bar. I found it was easier to install the bearing this way. It allows you to get the bar all the way in the coupler before trying to drive in the bearing, also your not striking the alignment tool. It will also save you time and frustration if you don't have the proper tools. The hinge pin tool fit & worked fine. I am a retired heavy equipment mechanic so do not normally like cheap tools. I figured what the heck, I would try it out or return it if was poorly made. The kit I received was well worth the money.

Only problem I had was the threads galled up at the end of the pull on gimbal bearing removal tool and I used oil. I think the black coating was to thick filed threads and works good now.
