Easy to install and works great

AsDue to the curiosity of young children, I have installed these refrigerator locks in three separate homes. They are fast and easy to install. They will definitely keep curious children out of the icebox. The only reason I did not give it five stares is.I have found with each application.The glue tins to break away after 4-5 months. I suggest that you thoroughly clean the area with rubbing alcohol prior to the application of this product. If the product becomes loose, you can reapply a thin level adhesive.

After a freezer door didn't latch properly and food was lost, I ordered these for both freezers, They work great. I like them so much I just got one for my bottom freezer door on the kitchen fridge because freezer door is easy to open and I'm afraid the grand kids can pull it open/ajar accidentally and I might not notice right away. Easy fix. There is one thing to be careful of - there is a slide button (on the side of the lock) that disables the lock. There can be a problem disabling the lock unintentionally. If you use first and fourth fingers (easiest) on the push buttons to unlock the lock to open your freezer door, your middle finger can drag across that slide button and slide it forward when you didn't mean to. Fortunately my one big freezer has an alarm on the door if it is ajar. It did happen - I thought freezer door was shut and locked but something in freezer was keeping it from staying closed tightly and the lock did not engage. When the freezer alarmed I found that slide button forward instead of back - I had disabled the lock without meaning to. Now when I shut the freezer door I just take a second to pull on the door again to MAKE SURE it is locked. If it isn't, it it always that slide button I need to check.

Disclosure: Did not buy this to use as childproofing tool. We have an upright freezer in a space not frequently visited and if a family member neglects to ensure the freezer door is closed, it has been a very expensive lesson. This latch is easy to install, seems to have lasted and functioned properly for a very long time, and is easy to open with one hand. It also falls effortlessly closed and locked without having to think about it or do anything manually. So, it offers peace of mind that the freezer is closed all the time. One less thing to think about.

Easy to fit. Important to leave overnight before you open the fridge so that the glue works. When I first tested it within first hour it came off. Put it back on and left it overnight and it has stayed firmly on. Buttons work well for opening . It Good click when it shuts so you know it is shut.

Our freezer door would not stay closed. This product is absolutely AWESOME. Perfect for what I needed, love the way it locks. Super easy to install. Love it 5star.
