Q: Please pardon my art ignorance but does giclee mean the art is printed on canvas with texture so it will look more authentic?

A giclée is a print of a painting usually transferred to canvas (sometimes to paper). On occasion the artist will touch up the giclée to make it look more like a real painting, which gives it more dimension/color. The artist may(?) add his/her signature on the back of the canvas. I purchased this particular work a few months ago; and we like it very much. An artist like Remington is very revered in the US for early western art, when the country was first being settled. To my mind, if you like the piece and have a proper place to hang it, the art will bring you much enjoyment. If you desire a real oil painting, you will pay much more; but you will have the real thing. A giclée, in effect, is a print of a real painting. Hope this helps.

Q: Does the "+ Frame" option refer to a wooden frame the canvas is wrapped around or a picture frame?

"24 ×16 + frame" means you get your beautiful canvas print inside that dark wood frame that the photo shows. Size alone, such as "24 × 16" only, means you get your canvas print stretched over a plain unfinished rectangle frame that you cannot see when hung. I purchased the canvas print without the frame, so I don't know anything about the dark frame itself.
