Working after 48 hours
My yard is infested with clover. It's been 48 hours since applying. So far so good. Clover are already looking stressed and are probably ready to die off. I'll report back if it doesn't work.

Ortho WeedClear Weed Killer
Update: 3/2022 I included a photo of the treated vs untreated area. Although the untreated area looks like dead grass. The grass is doormat, but still no weeds. The untreated area is starting to display clover weeds. We moved into a new home which has a lawn that was pretty much "let go". It looks as if one point there was St. Augustine on this property and if you are a lawn person you probably know that type of grass requires a lot of maintenance. At this point the grass is doormat which I'm actually okay with. The reason why I purchased this is because we have dogs and they are constantly getting the sticky weeds on their paws. For some reason I was limited to two of these bottles which was JUST enough for an acre that is mostly concrete. I applied this stuff and in about a week or so I noticed a HUGE difference. Those annoying weeds are gone. Will need to make sure I stay on top of it, but this thing did what is intended for. Grass still looks like crap, but this product didn't kill it. It works
My yard is approximately 5000 sq ft. And it's a Bermuda grass lawn. By mid of the spring I had more weeds than grass. Tried mowing frequently and weeds grown faster than grass. Tried this as directed (when's temperatures are between 55-85 outside) and when rain is not expected within 24 hours. 9 or 10 types of weeds were there in the lawn in that 7 were completely gone and died within a week. This didn't work for crab grass and some other grassy weeds. But everything else was taken care perfectly. Not giving 5 stars only because of 2 reasons. One bottle was slightly not enough for 5000 sq ft yard as it's mentioned in the product description. Since it didn't work for some grassy weeds. But I would say it's highly worth for the money spent

It's like fertilizer for weeds
This stuff doesn't kill weeds, it feeds them. I sprayed multiple times, gave it plenty of dry weather, and the weeds just kept thriving. Complete waste of money.

IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!
Was hesitant after reading a few negative reviews saying it killed their lawn or didn't work, but tried anyway as I needed to do something about my dollar weed that TruGreen hasn't been able to kill. Read the direction noting not to use if temp is higher than 90 degrees (which makes me think is why it didn't work for others, they didn't follow the directions). The container stated you would see results in 1 hour, I didn't. Waited patiently for 48 hours after spraying and the next morning woke to dollar weed turning yellow and dying. Did exactly what I needed it to do just took a little longer than the product advertised. Would recommend as it didn't kill any of my grass and only targeted the nuisance weeds.

Finally — a weed killer that protects St. Augustine instead of destroying it
I’ve had St. Augustine grass for years, and if you own it, you know the fear: almost every weed killer on the shelf says “safe for southern lawns”… followed by a warning that excludes St. Augustine. I spent several seasons watching weeds take over because I refused to risk a product that might scorch‑earth the turf. This spring I found Ortho WeedClear, and it’s the first product I’ve seen that clearly states safe for St. Augustine. I didn’t take that claim lightly. I dug into the details, including the Floratam issue. (For anyone reading: Floratam is a Florida‑specific cultivar that is sensitive to certain herbicides. I confirmed through a bit of lawn forensics that my grass is a cold‑tolerant Georgia type — not Floratam — so WeedClear is appropriate for my yard.) Once I verified that, I tried it. WeedClear worked exactly as advertised. The weeds collapsed, browned out, and laid down, and the St. Augustine didn’t show any burn or stress. If anything, the product is on the gentle side — which is exactly what you want with this grass. The layer of weed thatch left behind showed just how badly the turf had been smothered. It wasn’t weak; it was buried. Now that the weeds are gone, the lawn finally has room to breathe again. I’m already seeing runners waking up and color returning. For the first time in years, the yard looks like it has a real path to recovery instead of slow decline. If you’ve been afraid to treat your St. Augustine because everything else feels like a gamble, Ortho WeedClear is the first product I’ve used that delivers on the promise without putting the turf at risk. I wish this had existed years ago. WeedClear didn’t just kill weeds — it gave my lawn a second chance.

Actually works—covered almost my entire half-acre!
I recently used the Ortho WeedClear Ready-To-Spray on my lawn and was honestly impressed. Here are the highlights from my experience: Effectiveness: It did exactly what it claimed to do. It targeted the weeds without harming my grass, and I saw them starting to wither pretty quickly. Coverage: My lot is about a half-acre, and one bottle managed to cover almost the entire lawn. For a "Ready-To-Spray" product, that’s great efficiency. Ease of Use: The hook-up to the hose was seamless with no leaks, which made the application go much faster than using a manual pump sprayer. Bottom Line: If you have a larger lot and want something that is effective and easy to apply, this is a solid choice. I'll definitely be keeping this in my lawn care rotation.
