But maybe rivets are a better, more durable way to join these particular pieces of GEN-YOU-WINE FAKE (repeat FAKE) bovine containment membrane! After all, a sharp edge sliding in and out without a scabbard would certainly take their toll on stitching, wouldn’t it? The buckles (which are reversible for left OR right side) and aforementioned rivets are prob not the brass they look like, but hey, whaddya want? It’s a very nice period piece of armor accessory for those of us playing pirate, knight, and/or dragon slayer. Fits on a belt, thereby negating the need for an actual over the shoulder hadric.

It's good quality and looks it too. My only issue is that the holster is a bit narrow. It should be fine for most weapons, but keep in mind the biggest circumference you can fit in it is 5.25 inches. As you can see in my photo, there's a large part that sticks out at the bottom of the handle of my axe. I had to remove the straps from the holster to just barely fit it in.. and it's not coming back out unless I remove the straps again.

I'm giving this a three-star rating because I will be using it with an un-sharpened rapier for a Halloween costume. Otherwise it would have been lower. It isn't leather it is plastic and a sharpened blade without a scabbard would likely cut it is short order. As such, it weights less than leather and the weight of the sword hilt can tip the front of the frog forward the angle shown in the photo. I'm not convinced that it is sturdy enough for regular use and was disappointed that it wasn't real leather. I will say that the first shipment was the wrong item so there might be some issues with the seller's fulfillment department.

The quality was fantastic the weather was heavy and the price was excellent it worked perfect for what I needed and I was very excited and happy to have purchased us thank you very much

It works very well for what I need and it compliments my other accessories. Top quality and feels comfortable on my belt.

Purchased for the use with LARP swords I discovered that the frog was too slim for the thick foam blades of LARP weapons. This would work for a slim metal sword or dagger. The straps are removable but do not make the grip area wider. Great news is that the straps can be flipped so you have a right and left of the body side frog though the rivets are one sided so you will see the back side exposed if you make it hang at right side. Good semi shiny leather and sturdy buckles and rivets. All in all I’m happy because I have metal daggers I needed frogs for as well so this works great and I actually bought two.
