Switchcraft12A 1/4-Inch Jack with Tip Shunt (PNT Mount)

The junk from you know where lasted just a couple days. Switchcraft the best.

Took a little thought to decide how to wire it, but beyond that it is great.

I have a Fender 25R amp that has its input jack busted- seems like a very common problem for these amps. While checking for replacement, I found this switchcraft input jack as suitable replacement with little mod (youtube it). It too me an hour with my very rusty soldering skill but now it works great.

This the best jack there is but for some reason I could only get 1 at a time for Prime next day

I purchased the Switchcraft 12A tip-shunt jack to mod my Vox Pathfinder 15 amp so that I can use it with an external speaker cabinet. The tip-shunt feature leaves the internal speaker connected when no plug is inserted. Once a speaker cable plug is inserted, the tip separates from the shunt and the amp runs the external speaker only.1) positive wire from the amp connects to the tip terminal2) positive wire to the internal speaker connects to the shunt terminal3) both of the negative wires connect to the ring terminal

It works great. I added an auxiliary output to my bass amp to connect a larger external speaker. It uses the internal speaker until you plug in the external.

It’s a 1/4 inch jack, used daily works

Excellent product, but you can get the exact same part elsewhere for less than 1/2 the price.
