Description: These are popular among the shrimp hobby and are great for people getting into the hobby. A general rule of thumb of keeping shrimps is 10 shrimps per gallon. Golden Back Yellow Shrimps are non-aggressive and spend most of their time eating algae and biofilm off plants, glass, and substrate. They make excellent clean up crews for aquascape tanks. Golden Back Yellow Shrimps are easy to care for as they require remineralized RO water or tap. If you are using tap, keep in mind to check for any harmful metals or chemicals in the water as all tap water is different and some aren't safe to use. When using fertilizer, make sure it does not contain copper as it is harmful to the shrimp’s health. Although there are multiple colors of neocaridina in the same line, it is not recommended to mix them to keep the genes to be the purist it can be. If you do however mix the colors, you will most likely end up with wild brown colored offsprings. Common Name: Ultra Gold, Goldenback, Yellow Neocaridina, Golden Shrimp Yellow Goldenback Shrimp are bright, vibrant, and has a gold bar on top of its body. There are different grades and hues of Yellow Neocaridina. It can range from being a light colored yellow to having a prominent yellow. Great shrimp buy them if you’re on the fence
I’ve order quite a few fish online and these shrimp were awesome. I received 11 - all were alive, a good size and vibrant yellow. I acclimated them over the course of almost 2 hours but 5 days later 11 are all thriving. These are way more impressive than anything I have seen in stores. Packed very securely.

large healthy shrimp
Just received my shrimp, and am very happy with them. They all arrived safe, sound and alive, plus with a boatload of baby shrmplets too boot! These are as big, if not bigger then the typical shrimp at the fish store, and they are a very vibrant yellow. and appear quite healthy. They really pop in my tank. I would definitely order from this vendor again.

Fantastic
After initially making the order, I was nervous to discover the seller was on the east coast and I live on the west coast. However, despite the long distance (and 3-4 days travel time), all of the shrimp arrived alive- very well packaged with insulation for the long trip. Looks about 60/40 ratio of females to males, and some of the females arrived berried already. Great color, very pleased.

Not very hardy
I have 17 tanks and have been doing this for two years. I've never had shrimp that I drip acclimated die off like this in a tank with no predators. Started with about ten. Only three survived. Not great odds.

Looks so healthy
The package was well insulated for long distance traveling. I got 11-12 shrimps that all made it. Not a single accident.
