I am a distance runner and have been working on my long run hydration/fueling during the run, thus the need for sodium intake during long runs. I like to carry water in my hydration pack (rather than electrolytes which I do just before & after runs) but during the run, these portable salt tablets come in clutch! They can help ease cramping during the run, have no taste, and all you have to do is swallow. So easy, and they've been working out well for the last several months of long runs in the NC humidity. I run about 30-40mi/week and there are 100 in a pack which is a great value. One word of advice: I would recommend carrying them in a small container or ziplock rather than packing them loosely in the pocket of your shorts/leggings/pack. I learned the hard way after my last half marathon that the capsules can come apart if they aren't being transported appropriately and also they were in a pocket that I had some energy chews in so the fell out every time I reached in the pocket (oops - my fault) but luckily there were aid stations on the course for electrolytes!

If you have ever had a 'charlie horse' or otherwise know as a muscle cramp these are wonderful. Fast acting. But even better they are good as a preventative measure. They sure have helped me with 'hot summer' wild blueberry picking. * They also have a chewable version - love the peach flavor - so convenient !

I've lived with POTS for 15 years now. At first, I took clunky sodium tablets that burned my stomach lining and were impossible to swallow. After being on Terbutaline for a pregnancy (to help prevent preterm labor,) I noticed that I was getting major muscle pulls and cramps after doing hard workouts (postpartum.) I knew the Terbutaline drained potassium so bought these and noticed an IMMEDIATE difference; I was no longer getting injured. I already took magnesium as a norm but I was apparently low in potassium as well. They are a bit pricey but I adore them... just pop a couple in your mouth in the midst of your workout; plus I take some at night before bed. They work GREAT! That being said, I took off a star because now that I am pregnant again they are causing SWELLING. It's so weird; it must be the type of sodium they have in them mixed with pregnancy sensitivity. I was noticing my swelling was much worse earlier than normal and was flabbergasted. Then one day I ran out of Salt sticks and ordered some more... but they took a week to get here. That week I noticed my swelling was SO much better and my carpal tunnel was gone (from the swelling.) Lo and behold when I started taking two a day again, the swelling kicked in again. Now I am switching over to just plain potassium and magnesium supplements for my pregnancy; but will still use the salt sticks heavily after baby is born! I do notice when I don't take them I am getting round ligament pain; so if you are having that during your pregnancy I HIGHLY recommend a magnesium and potassium supplement (avoid the Solaray which has parsley in it though!)

I have been struggling with hydration during running long miles. I have a hard time digesting and keeping up with fluid due to the fact of my stomach holding all my fluids and fuel. I would vomit after every long run and I always felt terrible. So I turned to these electrolyte capsules and they have completely turned my runs around. I took the pills every 30mins and I didn’t cramp, it gave me energy and I didn’t vomit after my long runs. I will keep these pills with me for every run now! Also my husband did an ultra marathon and ran out of electrolytes. I gave him some pills to take with him and he said he took the pills and it stopped his cramping and helped him finish his ultra 52.4 miles! He even used them after for recovery and he said these Pills are absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!!

Excelente producto, en mi último medí maratón rompí récord, no tuve síntomas de deshidratación, no cansancio, terminé fuerte usando 1 cápsula cada 3 minutos (3 en total) sin duda lo recomiendo y lo seguiré usando en entrenamientos largos y competencias. Sólo debo llevarlas en una bolsa pequeña para que no se disuelvan con el sudor.

Habe mir die Kapseln für die Vorbereitung und Durchführung vom Marathon geholt. Zusammensetzung ist sehr gut und hat mir im Training sowie beim Marathon sehr geholfen.

Der direkte Vergleich ist schwierig - die gleiche Tour mit und ohne Sticks - haben jetzt der / die Sticks den entscheidenden Vorteil gebracht? Grundsätzlich ist zu sagen: mehrere lange und anspruchsvolle Touren mit den Sticks und einem guten Gefühl - keine Krämpfe oder sonstige Ermüdungserscheinungen. Die Sticks können (Dosierungsempfehlung liegt bei) 'so wie sie sind' eingenommen werden. Klappt problemlos auch während der Fahrt mit ein wenig Flüssigkeit. Alternativ die Kapsel öffnen und den Inhalt in die Trinkflasche kippen. Auf 750ml eine Kapsel - schmeckt minimal 'salzig' und absolut nicht unangenehm. Bei kleineren Flaschen den Inhalt dosieren, Kostprobe schafft Gewissheit. Eine Überdosierung ist nicht möglich, da der Geschmack die Grenze setzt. Auch bei Einnahme als Kapsel ist das Thema m. E. unkritisch. Was der Körper nicht braucht geht 'durch' und landet im Trikot. Bei mir gab es keine Reaktion auf die Einnahme vom 'Verdauungsbereich'. Hier war alles wie vorher - ohne die Sticks. Kauf- und Nutzungsempfehlung von mir! Rechnet man den Preis auf die Kapsel runter und setzt das ins Verhältnis zu sonstiger 'Sportnahrung' ist das alles ok.
