I bought this for a discount when I had the opportunity years ago, basically below cost, as a promo for dealers. This thing is worth the retail price and shines even many years later. I use it on the 6.0L Powerstroke diesel. It has worked for a 2004 Ford F-350 and an Excursion. The VIN will lock, so you can tune 1 at a time. It takes about 10 or 15 minutes to switch tunes. Mine came with 3 and they added a 4th for fuel economy later. It was upgraded by a USB flash from my PC. Anyway, the Performance tune is great for blowing black smoke and accelerating fast. The "Tow Safe" or "Towing" mode works well for heavy loads. I wish it flashed faster, but I just leave it in the truck so I can switch to a safer tune for pulling a trailer. There are reasons to run each and every tune, so enjoy it. Mine has developed a dead area on the old-style LCD, but the tuning still works fine. You basically tell it which new tune you need, and it has you switch the key on and off twice as it flashes the truck. It clears DTCs, also. I don't need anything more except the gauges help. I rarely need to back off the accelerator except I watch it on hills for EGTs, especially in the summer. Run the right program for your rig and you'll be fine even without an EGT gauge.
