She's always been an easy-keeper, but this new environment has taken a toll on her. Last year she was on the prescription commonly given to metabolic horses and it helped her immensely. This year, however, that same prescription did absolutely nothing for her. At mid-August, she still had her full winter coat and had foundered badly. I was at my wit's end. Dry lot, muzzling, frequent trims, boots, veterinary exams... nothing helped. I decided to try Heiro. Within two weeks she finally shed her winter coat. She has lost nearly all her cresty neck, and now she is doing a lovely amble out to pasture for a few hours at night (but still with her muzzle).
