Nice and bright
This spotlight has much better range than I was expecting. The included power chord is fairly short, about 3 feet, so I had to run an extension cable to it. The day/night sensor seems to work well too. I haven't been able to verify how weather proof it is yet but I will update if any issues occur.

Terrific night infrared illumination.
After setting up my first 12 bulb floodlight by resting it against a window that had a RING doorbell outside the back door, I purchased 5 more. The first one that is still at this window, I monitored it for weeks for anything that may be a problem and cause it to overheat and found nothing even a slight bit warm for the amount of unseeable light it produced. Now I have 9 RING cameras with these floodlights that gives me incredible 360-degree surveillance of the main house and all outbuildings. This photo shows the location of one of these floodlights mounted under the top deck railing illuminating hundreds of feet into our back forest. I think you can imagine what 6 of these can do without an intruder knowing that they are being monitored. Simply amazing the advancement of night vision cameras and supplemental infrared lighting.

Great Product
I was skeptical about using this as a solution to my Unifi G4 dome “fog” problem that’s very common but my G4 dome just won’t clear up regardless of how many times I clean off the protective cover so as a last ditch effort before replacing the camera I decided to give this a try and holy smokes this is way better. The night vision on the camera with this near by is even better than my G4 bullet with the IR enhancer. I’m truly impressed with the performance of this product and I’ll definitely be purchasing more for other cameras. Install was easy and it looks pretty menacing if warding off potential intruders is your thing.

A work-around for bugs
Our outdoor surveillance cameras make just enough heat to attract bugs and spider webs. Unless you run a rag around to clear the area every other night, the spider webs' movement sets off the alert. We figured out it is the heat from the built-in infrared LEDs. So we have turned off those lights, instead using this fixture mounted well off to the side and above the camera. This has more power = more illumination than the internal camera LEDs, and the wavelength seems identical to what the camera wants to see during night vision. Highly recommended.

Please look at the attached collage and the explanation below
Okay, the top picture is only using the swan camera IR illumination. The second picture is with the 12 LED IR illuminator for this ad. The bottom one is for the 20 LED IR illuminator made by the same company. I first installed the 12 LED illuminator and thought it would be enough. Then I found the 20 made by the same company. I believe the 20 is worth the extra $10 as it feels like it's made better. The 12 LED illuminator on the inside looks like there's already corrosion. A little strange. Anyway that one will be sent back tomorrow. The 20 LED illuminator looks to be better construction anyway. This is a very long distance. I'm sure it's at least 200 ft.
