Sunset Pink to Blush Peach 10/10
Full marks to this lesser-used drugstore brand hair dye. It has achieved more for me than the professional dyes, delivering a shade I hadn’t managed to mix either at home or using a salon colorist.First the good stuff:PROS:- it really does comes out the color you see on the box. That alone is worthy of note.- No transference to pillowcases, towels, or clothes. That one is huge and I buried the lede there.- It fades uniformly and maintains a proportionate pink undertone.CONS:- It fades quite a bit. Granted, all red tones famously tend to do that, and the fading is gradual and not particularly noticeable week to week, but it does fade from a sunset pink to a peach blush. Ideal for me as I was actually searching for a pinkish apricot shade.Photos show the color both newly dye and after 6 weeks of product and heat styling.

very coarse, dry, wavy Asian hair perspective
I've used the Garnier "Nutrisse" line before in multiple shades of blue-ish black in the past. They've all worked VERY well on my dark brown, coarse (nearly wiry), wavy Asian hair. Retouching was never an issue.I'd wrongfully assumed that this "Color Sensation" in "Grape Expectations" would execute the same. My hair is a bit past shoulder length ("lob") and I figured that using 2 boxes for my coarse hair should at least bring in some color.- The last I dyed it was in 2019- chopped it all off in the past month- my hair grows insanely fast- ... so virgin hair at this point. My hair went from a dark brown to a dark brown with slightly wine-burgundy tint depending on the light. I abhor the warm undertone. I might just toss the 3rd box in this pack out the window.

Dear Amazon, this is not a sensitive review. Worst Purple Hair Dye Available.
This is the worst hair dye that I have ever bought. I used this the other day on my hair. I had previously dyed my hair a deep burgundy. At the time I used this dye, I had about 2 inches of regrowth and my hair had faded to a very light brown, almost dark blonde. I realize that this dye is for either bleached or very light hair, or hair that has never been dyed, however, I felt that my hair had faded enough for the dye to color my hair. I had not expected the dye to appear the same color that was pictured on the box, however, I did not expect the dye to unevenly color my roots and the front quarter of my hair a dark blackish purple and not color the back of my head at all. At first I thought it was due to an uneven distribution of the dye, so I did a second application of the dye the next day with a heavy focus on the lighter parts of my hair. This did nothing. I have never had this issue with any Garnier dye products and am extremely disappointed that I am unable to return the remaining box of dye for a refund.Edit: This product is in my opinion, only 1 star. I have changed the review to a higher rating because Amazon conveniently hid this review in their "sensitivity filter" because I had reviewed it poorly. I will not be silenced because I firmly believe this is a 1 star product.

Color Sensations: Grape Expectations is Great for Brunettes with Gray
My hair is medium/dark brown with a lot of gray. This covered it all, and I did not bleach first. Indoors with low/medium light, the color doesn't stand out, which is great for looking "professional" for an indoor job. But when you go out in the sun or you have a lot of sun coming in windows, the purple is really vibrant. I've had many compliments. Makes you stand out without looking like a clown. This is perfect for my "midlife crisis"!I altered my review from 5 to 4 stars, just because I have to dye every month to keep the color vibrant. But then, as white as my roots are getting, I have to do that anyway. Still love the color! I don't like to do the touch-up dye the way the directions say; I hate putting it on my roots, then taking off gloves and waiting, then trying to get the gloves back on and dying the rest. So I just start with the roots and take my time working the dye out to the ends. It still looks good. My roots aren't "hot" and my hair isn't worn out.
