Please try it!
I have a type of endometriosis that makes my periods excruciating. Usually I get referred pain down my thighs too and like many people the nights are worse than the days. I get about 3 painful nights a month with one or two completely sleepless. Up until now I start the paracetamol and ibuprofen as my period starts until it is over - every 2 hours alternating. I was looking at the more expensive options and a reviewer on those suggested this one instead. The first time I wore it I read the instructions and got it into position not expecting too much. I lay down to sleep and didn’t find the small unit much of a bother at all and I’m usually a fussy sleeper. As I was waiting for the relief to kick in I must have fallen to sleep and woke the next morning. Other nights have been the same - no pain keeping me awake or waking me up in the night! I’m yet to try it out and about but I don’t see how it would be a problem. The pads will last a few months with proper care using just a few days a month but I will buy the replacements to have in stock. I hope this helps.

effective but faulty.
I have very painful periods were in the past i can spend the first three days curled up a ball sometimes, spend most the time in the bathroom and can throw up. This doesn't take the fall pain away but it does help with it and less medication is require but I have given this a two star due to the fact this is only my second period and the device is faulty and can't be charged therefore its not working which is not something you expect when you spend nearly £30. Amazon have been amazing as usual and are sending me a replacement out so I will change this review in due course once I've seen how the replacement one works for more than one use.EDIT: This would have been a 5 star review if the device continued to work. Amazon were great sending me the replacement in June but just 10 months later it's not working effectively anymore. The battery dies within an hour of on/off usage were as before I could use it on and off for 6 - 8 hours without that happening. Not good if you have endometriosis and need relief on and off during the night because it needs to be charged every hour which means you a.) basically don't sleep or b.) have brief relief for the shortest amount of time before being in agony again. Such a shame, maybe the company needs to look into the manufacturing of this product so it can last longer than 10 months before its basically useless. I may have to look into other products now to help. This product is very poorly made which is why it doesn't last.

Takes some getting used to, but seems to work
I get really bad period pain and wanted to try something different from painkillers. I was thinking of buying a Livia but wasn't keen on spending that much money on a device. This is significantly cheaper, so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't last so long (as some reviews here mention) and it's important to note that even Livia offer a subscription option where they replace your device every three years, so maybe these devices tend to not last very long anyway. The Ova+ is very small and light, but I've already managed to drop it on the floor and nothing happened, so it's not actually as flimsy as it looks. One annoying thing I've noticed already is that the "sleeve" with the clip the device itself fits into doesn't click, so the device is never quite secure in it and the device can easily fly off unless you're standing upright with the thing clipped into a pocket or the inside of your trousers. I might have to tape it to the clip to make it stay put.In fact, I can only imagine a man came up with the belt clip idea for the device, as the only way to wear it under a dress is by either clipping it onto your knickers or (which I haven't tried yet) tape it to your body with a plaster or tuck it into your bra. Alternatively, I guess, you never wear a dress while having PMS.As for pain relief - it does work, though the sensation it produces takes some getting used to, especially mode 0, which is the one the manufacturer claims is the most likely one to work for pain relief. It's a very weird sensation and mildly unpleasant (especially when you turn it up). You'll need to experiment with all different modes and intensities to find something that works. It switches on on zero intensity, which doesn't feel like anything. First time I used it, I didn't feel anything and assumed that was what the device did. You have to actually click the "up" button to make it start doing anything useful. Note that while the more expensive Livia claims relief is instant, the Ova+ doesn't make that claim and relief is not always instant. It can take up to 20 minutes to work.

Try it out! It might really help you!
It’s a lot smaller than I expected, super cute looking. Comes in a pink case too.It has definitely helped with my cramps on my lower tummy. I was a tad sceptical about it but thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to try it. Especially being only £30 compared to the Livia thats hundreds of pounds and advertised all over the Internet!Sometimes I’ll still get a cramp twinge but the device helps keep you distracted from it so it’s not half as bad as it would be without it. Lots of different strengths to the modes so you’ll be sure to find one that helps the most. It’s powerful considering how small it is. But you can find the right strength for you so you feel comfortable.Almost feels like a “Fizzy” feeling, a tad like pins and needles but not painful or annoying. Also warming. I haven’t taken any pain meds so far and I’m on the first day which tends to be the most painful for me.So far I’m very happy with purchase!!Everyone’s different though. I think it might work for others and some it might not. But I was willing to give it a go. So glad I did!
