Pairs well with Icom 7000
I use this monitor with an Icom 7000 and it is easy to connect and provides a larger display that is easier to read than the smaller display on the radio itself. Shipping was fast on this item and it is just as described.

It works.
It looks good and works fine.Pro: It works, so far it has lasted the few months I have given it before I reviewed it.Cons: Can only reverse all or none. I have a front and rear camera and wish I could flip one channel and notnhe other. I had to buy a nut for the bolt attaching the screen to the stand. The included bolt did not work with the nut. The adhesive pad for the mount held about as well as WD-40 as glue.Overall: I am satisfied. Good product for the money. The big thing for me is that it works.

Missing parts
Missing the springs in the inline fuse holder, not a good connection without it.

Excellent Value.
I bought this to use with a radio as an external display. All I had to do is feed it composite video from the jack on the back of the radio.Note that the display even if turned off will draw 50 mA. Turned on it draws 200 mA. The documentation is non existant. The monitor connects through a long multi wire cable. There are two video inputs, 2 wires for power (red and black) and a green wire for a "reversing lamp". There is also a remote, which explains its residual current draw.It will run on a supply voltage between 12 and 24 volts. If you are using this on a desktop you'll need to supply power for it, and that aspect is entirely up to you. I doubt if it will survive with power connected backwards, so if you are not electrically minded best you get some help coming up with power for it.The monitor can be used anywhere, of course but it seems to be intended to be in an automobile as a back up camera display. Resolution appears to be 800 by 480 or 1024 by 600 depending on display mode.. The vertical viewing angle is narrow. The horizontal view seems much wider. The display is bright and sharp and seems to respond with almost no lag. I didn't notice any ghosting.I think this monitor is an excellent value for about $30 CDN. My use for it does not tax its capabilities, but for my purposes it was a good choice.
