My husband got some stains out with hotel soap and cold water and it dried very quickly. I'm still not sure how to clean the whole scarf. I love the owls design with the dark-grey background. Great colors, not muted but not loud either. For a wraparound neck scarf or even a light-weight shawl, this is a great purchase. Certainly it can be wrapped or draped in a variety of ways. I used it on airplanes and trains, and every single day (indoors and out) for a long European vacation in the Fall. It was perfectly in tune with the neck scarves worn by every European we saw. These scarves may not be "Pashmina" but they are soft, warm, and lovely. They are great for travel and fold up into a small square. The colors are beautiful. Purple Floral - Color is more PINK-purple than pictured, but otherwise pretty, with nice black/gold tassels. The back side is much paler pink/tan/purple (see pics). For more purple with bolder pattern, Achillea Soft Silky Reversible Paisley Pashmina Shawl Wrap Scarf w/Fringe, Purple Turquoise color is gorgeous (see last pic for comparison).
