Impressed with the quality of this coupler, surprised by the fact Amazon delivered as promised.

Installation was as expected. Gauge of metal is more than sufficient for my application. The only reason I would deduct 1/2 star would be for the slop between the two interfacing pieces. It shouldn't effect the function of the item, but it does add to some additional noise while traveling.

Great quality. Metal quality is decent according to my welder. Used this to replace an old mounted pintle ring on a heavy duty trailer.Only issue is when bolted up, there's a good 1/4" gap which allows the hitch to slop left to right some. I bought a washer from a hardware store and shimmed it up.

Works as intended.. its used daily on my trailer..Never had a issue

The coupler appears well built with heavy gauge steel and properly welded for high strength. Comes with grade 8 bolts/hardware. Connects confidently to my 2-5/16" hitch for towing

This is a cheap Chinese made POS! After I installed it on my trailer, I hooked it up to my truck and drove down the road and the tongue came off the 2 5/16” ball and damaged the back of my truck. It was in the locked position. I also, just to test it, put it back on the ball and used the tongue jack to lift it. It came right off when it should be secured over the ball in the locked position. NOT HAPPY!!!!

This is well built and has been installed on a 28 ft flat deck I'm making from an old 5th wheel frame.Was it easy to install? You have to be a really good welder able to weld on bottom surfaces. I'm not that good but thankfully, my friend is a retired welder and he made it look semi easy.I like two aspects of it. I can raise and lower the ball coupler and also easily switch out for the 2 inch ball coupler which will be all I will need. This allows me to use the same ball for the trailers I use 95% of the time.
