KAX CA12061 Premium Engine Air Filter for Honda, Acura

Bought for my 2023 taco, seems well made fit like original, was easy to install, I am honestly seeing better gas mileage, very good price.. if it flies will deff keep using these for the cost and reliability

This KAX engine air filter delivers significantly more than the product description suggests. The construction quality is immediately apparent: the filter is heavier than the OEM Chevrolet filter, has greater surface area, and seals more securely without stressing the plastic airbox. The design allows increased airflow without compromising filtration capability. To evaluate performance objectively, I compared this filter against both the OEM paper filter and a brand‑new FRAM paper filter in my 2022 Chevy Equinox (1.5L turbo). My daily commute is consistent, and I monitor vehicle data through OBD‑II equipment typically used for drag‑racing analysis. Fuel Efficiency: OEM / FRAM paper filters: 27–30 mpg average KAX filter: 39–42 mpg average The improvement was immediate and repeatable. To rule out placebo effect, I reinstalled the new FRAM filter for a full week. MPG dropped back to ~28 mpg. Reinstalling the KAX again restored the 39+ mpg average under identical driving conditions. Acceleration Testing (0–60 mph): FRAM paper filter: 8.7 seconds (expected for this vehicle) KAX filter: 7.8 seconds During acceleration, the FRAM filter dropped fuel economy to 5 mpg, while the KAX dropped to 11 mpg — a clear indication that the turbocharger was spooling earlier and breathing more efficiently with the KAX installed. Additional Observations: The filter’s increased airflow noticeably benefits the turbocharger. Fitment is excellent; the seal is firm without requiring extra force. For the price, it’s on par with generic paper filters and actually cheaper than the FRAM I purchased locally. Although KAX advertises a 20,000‑mile lifespan, the low cost makes more frequent replacement a practical choice. Conclusion: This filter outperformed both OEM and FRAM options in measurable ways — fuel economy, acceleration, and overall engine responsiveness. Based on the results, I will be switching my other vehicles to KAX filters as well. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve efficiency and performance without modifying their vehicle.

This was a perfect fit for my 2019 RAM 1500! There was absolutely zero difference in my original OEM filter and this filter. The installation was straightforward, and a quick YouTube video showed me which bolts to remove on my engine air filter. After taking the old filter out, I held it up for a quick comparison with this, and it looked identical. I've already ordered another replacement to have on the shelf!

Fit my 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Classic perfectly. I did a quick before/after install test of 20-100kmph and there was a 0.63 second improvement with this filter. To be fair, the old basic white paper filter was medium dirty. But still impressed. Truck seems to have a bit more pep.

Apparentemente ottimo. Ma non è adatto per la mia Mazda 3 III gen. 1.5 benzina 100 cv 2017 restyling. Peccato. Errore mio.

Very happy with quality of air filter & gives more power n feels smoothing as you drive . So worth it would buy again when I need new one or for ether vehicle . Highly recommend!
