Why did you choose this product over others?: Because it it was universal and had fittings for hvac split unit. Some reviews say its 110v but mine was delivered with 3 pin plug and rated to 240v it worked fine vacuuming out my two HVAC split units 😉 easy to use and half decent instructions.

Seems pretty good quality and a better set of gauges with the access to adjust to zero from the start. Very good price compared to other units on the market. Gauge hoses very stiff compared to others I have used ( not sure if that is a good thing or not ) Knurled fittings easy to grip, so that was good. Full kit, adapters, correct fittings for connection to High / Low pipes on car.

Bought this to fix my own aircon system on a R134a (Vauxhall Vivaro). The kit is probably capable of carrying out multiple repairs. I've had it for over a year now and it's going strong. I've pulled vacuums for over an hour without problem. Oil levels have stayed the same throughout ownership. The kit comes with a bag that keeps everything secure which stored somewhere in the garage for months at a time. It's worth noting that you can convert this Manifold kit to fit the R1234yf (New style aircon attachments). you will have to buy the coupling kits elsewhere but worthwhile to note that this is possible. My parting thoughts in how to make this product into the ultimate kit (seperate, more expensive listing) would be to supply two yellow supply hoses to avoid contamination between aircon types, Both sets of couplers, UV dye and torch.

Bought this to install my own AC units. Had a Daikin installation done today (to see how one is done) and we tested this Amazon unit against a more expensive pump with HVAC digital gauges. This pump only pulls down to 1200 microns - you need to pull down to 500 microns for water to boil and clear the copper pipes from water contamination. The HVAC guy gave up with this unit and switched to his unit with better pump and got to 500 microns within minutes. He said the system would still work using this pump, but it'll be full of water that hasn't been evacuated and the system, although will work, will be at reduced efficiency. Edit: just to add, this was done on a system with about 6 meters of pipework.

Evacuated a Ford Focus system that had not worked for years. Used to add compressor oil then repressurised the system from cans. Took about 2 hours to do in total and system has worked properly ever since. Cheaper to simply have a re-charge at Halfords but that doesn't do the job properly and doesn't detect leaks or add oil. This kit comes with various adapters to fit different systems but a decent set of instructions in the correct sequence of use is adviseable. I watched several Youtube videos and from those made my own.
