Happy With Them
EDIT: I guess these not a lot more clear, direct sunlight than I had expected. We had been getting a lot of mostly cloudy days during the time I wrote this review. However, after getting a few days of good sun, these have been back to working well. Review has been adjusted to 5 Stars. Just keep in mind that these may not work consistently throughout Northern US winters. However, for the price, still worth it. I was initially really excited about these lights. The combination of price, features (choose from multiple colors and brightness options) and the fact that they’re solar powered was a great hook. Unfortunately, they worked for a total of 3 weeks before one of them pretty much stopped working - almost as if the battery can’t hold a charge anymore. It’ll turn on for a short period of time, then turn off. I’ve tried cleaning the panel of any dust and shining a light on it, which gets it to turn on for about 10 seconds, but then it dies again. I’ve tried calling the seller’s customer service phone number, but no one picks up. In summary, these lights showed a ton of promise with all their features and attractive price point...but none of that matters if they stop working after a few weeks.

First Day Impression
The lights were well packaged, undamaged, and delivered on time. I needed these to complete a project on my lanai, so I wasted no time getting them set up. I had read many reviews where customers said they did not get a user's guide, so I scanned the English section of mine, and I have attached it as a JPEG. It went together extremely easy. I tested it by pressing the "on/off" button for 5 seconds. Because I had the light facing me on my worktable, I saw that the light came on for about a second. Just to verify it was working I put a small rag over the solar panel to block the daylight, and the light fired up immediately. I then adjusted the solar panels' angles for the area in which I was placing them and waited for dark. I have attached photos of the areas in the daylight, and a 30-second movie of the lights on in the dark. They went on at about 8 PM (sunset) and were still going strong at 6:30 AM as the sun was coming up. Once the sun was up, they shut down just as they were supposed to. If they give me problems, I will update the review, but for now I couldn't be more pleased.

Solar green lights
They were so pretty when I first got them haven't in the front yard I don't know what happened but only one of them are working right now I don't know what happened to the other one there was nothing broken or anything but just not lighting up anymore so I guess the battery life from one of them is not working anymore but the other one is still going strong very pretty strong light

Don’t Let THIS Happen To YOU
I am not proud of the extreme lengths I went to in order to try to make these worthless lights illuminate my spectacular campsite. In fact, I became obsessed. Was excited to take these camping - wanted them to illuminate the top of my giant, castle-like white canopy that shades the Astroturf lawn directly in front of my tent (of course, without distracting from the awesome combos of sparkling golden twinkle lights that hang from the edges). There’s a group of us that try to outdo each other every year with CAMPSITE AWESOMENESS on our annual trip. I usually win. But I digress… back to my warning: I charged these lights for the entire day before leaving. Neither went on that night. There wasn’t an instruction book, but I knew (from reviews) that the switch had to be held down in the “on” position for charging, but THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL what is “on” or “off” is as the switches are 1 push / click buttons. Since both hadn’t charged, they must’ve been in “off”. Ok. And because I knew this going in, I actually kept track of the number of times I had pressed each button to try to get them to go on in the dark. So I left them in what HAD to be the “on” position, put them in the box, and squeezed them into my already Tetris-like packed car loaded with all my spectacular camping gear. CAMP DAY 1: the first thing I always do is place everything solar-powered in my bright “full sun all day” solar charging spot, and I enthusiastically added these new spots to the group. They charged all day. That evening — nothing. Unlit Awning-Top. I was so disappointed. What happened? CAMP DAY 2: Could they have both accidentally been pushed again? I gave it the benefit of the doubt, pushed the stupid single click button ONE more time on each, and back into the sun the next day. That night — nothing. Unlit Awning-Top. CAMP DAY 3: Perhaps I’d pressed the ridiculous switch an extra time??? Unlikely, but POSSIBLE —- so BACK into the sun - in the new possibly wrong “on” position. That night - nothing. Unlit Awning-Top. CAMP DAY 4: I’m not sure what’s wrong… I must make them work I don’t know what’s wrong with me! But I CANNOT simply LET. IT. GO. I could’ve listen to freaking Idina Menzel all morning and still would’ve HAD to try more. Pressed the button once on each, left in sun half a day - pressed each button once again for the second half of the day. That way they HAD to work!! That night — nothing. Unlit Awning-Top. CAMP DAY 5: I tried a new combo - Press that horrible switch only on one light - putting them on opposite cycles! That night — nothing. Unlit Awning-Top. CAMP DAY 6: I shook the lights. I tapped the lights. I jiggled the wires. I manhandled the lights and swore at them. I think I felt them laughing at me. So this time I pressed the buttons over and over and over! NOT COUNTING! Laughing maniacally and pressing and pressing! Leaving it to the universe and pleading with the angry Gods of Glamping. Again, I’m not proud of my degree of unwillingness to accept the dark awning-top reality. That night — nothing. Unlit Awning-Top. CAMP DAY 7: it’s over. Time to pack up and head back to civilization, and DC current. At the very end, obviously off my game, I couldn’t fit my camping stove into my full, Tetris-packed car. Right behind where I needed the stove to go? The box of ready-to-furiously-return spotlights! I felt the blood rushing to my head, and my already sunburned face grow hot (er). The spotlights were suddenly hurled from the car across the campsite — Ironically landing in the bright “full sun all day” solar charging spot. My camping stove found its rightful spot for its passage home. I always leave my campsite cleaner than the way I found it, so I retrieved the spotlights and took them to the bear-proof dumpster across the woods by the restrooms. I scraped my sunburned shoulder lifting the heavy lid as I flung these (*censored*) lights inside. At that point and ONLY at that point did I feel ANY satisfaction with this product. When it was at the bottom of the bear -proofed-shoulder-scratching-heavy-lidded-dumpster-by-the-stinky-restrooms. I didn’t like what I’d become in my post-Unlit Awning-Top world. That said, I still want my money back.
