Awesome Light with Great Customer Support (thanks Lisa)!
The media could not be loaded. Everything about this light is good. If a close friend asked for a recommendation, I would tell them to buy this specific model. Now, if you're like me then you'd love to see a list of pros and cons... so, let's do it!PROS:-Color accuracy (CRI) is as good as it says – excellent.I bought an 18" FotodioX C-700RSV FlapJack LED Bi-Color Edge Light, hoping I could use it as a fill with the Falcon Eyes, but I simply couldn't use the FotodioX the output at 3200K had an unusably high magenta tint to it. I sold the FotodioX and simply used a large piece of white poster board as a fill. Works like a charm.-Solid build quality. This is an off-brand light made in China (I believe), so I have no idea what the quality will be like. If B&H Photo doesn't carry it, I'm skeptical by default. But, this is built well, and it didn't feel cheap to any degree. It's simply "good", and for my needs–it's more than good enough.-Super soft light. The softness of this light is ridiculous. It's SO soft. And it's thin! Get it close to the subject, and it'll yield impossibly soft light.-Customer support.Long story short, I had an issue with the light – it wouldn't turn on with my 7.4 volt NPF batteries (which worked fine with my FotodioX 18" lights). I wrote an objectively negative review, hoping I would get some quick attention. I did. At first, I thought the light was broken, until I learned from their customer support (Lisa) that the light only works with the less popular and more expensive 7.2 volt NPF batteries. I was disappointed. I didn't want to re-invest in 7.2 volt batteries JUST for this light. 7.4 volt NPF batteries are a more popular and cost-efficient voltage standard. Very quickly, they sent me a 7.4V adapter (and they generously threw in a couple NPF batteries for free–wow!). Good news: The 7.4 volt adapter worked!! I can now use my 7.4 volt NPF batteries. Awesome. I could tell they wanted to try to fix the problem fast, so it was a breeze working with them. I could tell that English was not their first language, but they tried their best and did a great job. Thanks again, Lisa!CONS:-Brightness range. My FotodioX lights could be adjusted from 10% to 100% brightness. Can't go below 10% (if you do, it simply turns off). The Falcon Eyes SO-68TD Soft LED light is no different. Yes, it says it goes from "1% to 100%", but I put the FotodioX and Falcon Eyes lights side by side and set them both to their minimum brightness. The Falcon Eyes at 1% brightness is the *exact same* as the FotodioX at 10%. Yes, the display on the Falcon Eyes unit will say "1% brightness", but in reality it is just as bright as a similar light at 10% brightness. I think this is misleading, and I don't like it, but this is minor in comparison to the huge benefits this light has over the smaller, less soft, and less accurate 18" FotodioX light. Conclusion:If you have 7.4 volt NPF batteries (seriously–check), then ask them to send the 7.4 volt adapter (if they don't include it already, which I hope they do!). Buy it. You'll love it. Trust me now, thank me later.

Nice soft light
This 2nd generation light is so nice and so soft. I use it for photography and not video. So this versatile use for me personally has done a great job. The color temp. change allows me to design th color balance to a very warm light for skin tones of all skin types. The price is amazing for what I use it for. a great bargain.

Highly Recommended.
One of the best lights I have ever bought. Obviously, you can't spot it in but for the money, having a nice soft bi-color light that is so easy to set up is a real pleasure. Being able to dial up the intensity is great. It's just as bright as daylight as tungsten. It's not super powerful but it's powerful enough for most everyday situations I would use it for. The case is awesome as well. Buy one, you won't regret it.

Massive soft light!
Excellent light source — it’s huge and supplies quality soft light for indoor shoots. Only four stars for the higher price.

Get the heavy duty Neewer light stand
I use this from a studio light to a simple lamp in my apartment. The lighting out put and color are adjustable. Its definitely worth you money.I have a g7x mark ii and as badly as I want to buy a new camera i didn't, I chose invested in my lighting instead. And it helps alot. The g7x tends to have alot of graininess under regular lights and also natural lighting if its too gloomy outside.Having a light helps being able to film at different hours of the day with out having to be limited.

Incredible light with minimal profile and footprint
This light works incredibly well in our studio. We went from Arri tungsten lights to this and the heat difference and control we get with the Falcon Eyes is super helpful. They are a little bit heavy but not a bad thing in my opinion. Great light and looks great on camera.

The idea sounds good...but mediocre quality, limited use cases, bulky, heavy
I purchased this unit for corporate video primarily although I had hoped that it would work a bit of dual duty for photography. The idea of a very thin unit that puts out soft light out of the box sounded very appealing, but this product is an overall disappointment from concept to execution. Note that I have 6 smaller edge lit units from another manufacturer and really enjoy those...so the concept of edge lit certainly has utility. It's really the quality of this light plus the size and limited utility that makes this one a bust for me.As you can see from the attached picture, the surface shows a large number of imperfections that lay beneath the surface. Depending on your use, these can cast some shadows. I ordered two units just to make sure that it wasn't a defective unit and they were both the same in this regard. Actually, the second unit was worse and the top panel actually showed some of the leds on the side. Either the panel loosened during transport or it was a manufacturing defect. However, the front panel had the same defects as those pictured above. The color temperatures throughout the range were pretty far off. So color correction will still be required, which adds to the work. This light isn't as easy to gel correct as a single led continuous video light or even a smaller led panel.Brightness was just okay for mid-level ambient rooms. In dark rooms, about 50% would do the trick. However, if the room got any sunlight, a 100% brightness barely made an impact. It just doesn't have enough juice couple with a probably 2 stops of diffusion on top. For closed studio work, no problem on the brightness. It didn't come with a remote. I would have purchased one if keeping the units. The units also do talk to one another, so if they are on the same channel, they will all change brightness and temperature lockstep. In a larger studio setup, this can be nice. If purchasing as a keylight for video, not useful. But good option to have. This light is very big and it's fairly heavy. Just because of the size of the case, it would be difficult to take on location. It would be much easier to pack down a single led video light and a softbox for portability and weight. The few minutes of setup would be worth not lugging this very large light around. So if the intent is all studio, then no problem. So back to the use cases. If purchasing a single purpose light and if the defects in quality are acceptable because of the lower price point, then perhaps this light is a good fit for you. However, it's a one trick pony and if you want harsher light from time to time (higher contrast work), you want color accuracy out of the box or easier to gel light, you want more transportability, you want a brighter light for use outside or for photography, you want to place a grid or other modifier on it, etc., this light does not work for any of those needs. Also, even for it's one use, the light is reasonably soft, but not nearly as soft as a 36" parabolic which is far more portable even if it's a big bulkier when setup. For me, not worth the trade off.

A seriously good light
This light is no toy. It’s heavy, metal construction, the build quality looks VERY good, and the light is so soft and beautiful! I highly recommend.
