Just cover it with your finger. Plus, from my experience even the average American like me can remember what a 50 cent piece looks like... And I am old. I really appreciated David's comment about using a magnet to open it. Don't pry it with your finger. Also look for the seam on the back. The instructions that came with it said it would be the tail but it was on the side for me. For what I paid, it was worth it. I took one star away for the dent in the cheek and the instructions but overall I am happy with it. It was also better looking in person than the image here that made it look tarnished. ## Features - Flipper coins open up, butterfly style. This means they look like two coins, but can be folded back (quickly) to look like just one coin. Meaning, where did the other coin go? - This flipper coin has a magnet inside, so when the coin is closed, it will attract magnetic receptive items, like paperclips - also very cool. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09PH467XB | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Best Sellers Rank | #359,767 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #1,610 in Novelty Coins | | Brand Name | Canailles | | Color | Silver | | Customer Reviews | 3.6 out of 5 stars 145 Reviews | | Educational Objective | Develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills through interactive exploration and experimentation | | Manufacturer | Canailles | | Manufacturer Part Number | flipper01 | | Manufacturer recommended age | 0 - 6 years | | Material Type | Plastic | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Players | 1 | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Power Source | manual winding | | Size | Small | | Supported Battery Types | No batteries required | | Theme | magic | | UPC | 697560530537 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Images ![Flipper Coin - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61AsgzQkA5L.jpg) ![Flipper Coin - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61p8PbgHG4L.jpg) ![Flipper Coin - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71TV+K-OWNL.jpg) ![Flipper Coin - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Is65xfY9L.jpg) ![Flipper Coin - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Fo6g7ufqL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works *by M***C on May 11, 2026* Works good ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ For what I paid, it was actually really good. *by M***M on December 5, 2025* Yes there is a dent in the cheek but magic is all about misdirection.
