Used on Chemically Sensitive Dog with no issues
I have a Lab Alaskan Husky (Sled dog) mix who reacted poorly to the topical spot treatment that repels ticks/fleas/flies. We have her on a fipronil based spot treatment now that she does well on, but we have a LOT of ticks out here in Maryland and wanted to save her and ourselves the trouble of trying to pull them off. We got this stuff and we spray her down with it every couple of weeks or so (several days after or before we put on her monthly spot treatment) and it works... so... incredibly... crazy... well! The only downside is that the ticks immediately hop off her and onto me or my husband. To cure this... I sprayed this stuff on my legs and arms... I grew up with horses and typically used the horse spray on myself before going for a ride, so I didn't think much about spraying my own legs with it. Guess what... no skin issues (I'm an auburn-type haired lady with freckles and pink-red skin tone and I tend to be reactive to chemicals also) AND it repelled ALL the bugs. Super safe/gentle (don't spray this on your kids or your face... use some common sense for God's sake) and works. DEET really eats away at my skin and I always break out in hives after I've used it. Neither my dog nor I have had any issues. I ordered this stuff... and reordered it.... and will probably order it in bulk so that if they stop making it I'll still have some.Also... they ship it pretty fast, which is great. AMAZING product and great sellers.

SAFE and Effective
I rescued a kitten who was completely covered in fleas and near death, it was only a couple of weeks old the poor little thing. It actually took over an hour to get the fleas off her using only palmolive and warm water, she was too weak to protest. She was perfectly fine after that and an expensive vet visit, however my other two cats began to have flea problems several months later after the resuce kitten was gone and had a new home! I was reading that fleas in their pupae stage can be around for months and then hatch.Well, things got out of control pretty fast, I started noticing fleas just casually walking around my poor cats face and once I heard a tiny popping sound and it was a flea jumping on my magazine next to me! I was horrified and started with the OVITROL which arrived pretty quickly, I would also sprinkle Borax on my carpet and then vacuum a couple days later- every single nook and cranny getting the corners and under furniture- not fun! and emptying the container right away. I also ordered some boric acid online but then found some at the dollar store, same exact thing! And I also got them Program. A couple of weeks later things were back to normal. The ovitrol was important to use until the Program kicked in. It was kind of hard to use though because one of my cats is very anxious and he just freaked out about it. My other cat started to drool a little bit... but if you read the label it's normal and she was fine 5 minutes later playing. But I did not use as much as it recommends because I could not get them to hold still and also just to be on the safe side. And I started with a little bit at first to see if they would have a bad reaction because every cat is different, but they were okay. The fleas will fly off your cat screaming bloody murder though, so I would do it in the bathroom in the bathtub where you can maybe see them. Read the label THOROUGHLY so you don't miss anything and spray a towel with it to dab anywhere around the head and face.I also chose to get this product because I read a lot of horror stories about other harmful flea products and this one was very safe, it asks you to use gloves, well I tried but I had to grab my cat without gloves and it did not burn my hands or throat and my cats were perfectly fine after a moderate misting.

If Dogs are Man's Best Friend, Ovitrol is My Dog's Best Friend During the Summer
Summer time in the South means lots of places to take the dogs in the great outdoors. However it also means fleas and ticks! I use frontline with my dog, but it is just not strong enough to keep the dog happy during the summer. The fleas here can just get miserable. Our vet suggested using Ovitrol on the dog and Siphotrol Plus II Premise Spray (16oz) on his bedding and favorite sleeping corners.Ovitrol has a very strong odor (it smells a lot like RAID), but sprays in a slightly diffuse stream so it is easy to control where you spray it. Avoid the head and just spray the dogs' back or legs. We use a couple pumps in the afternoon when the dog comes inside. After we got into the habit of giving the dog a couple sprays when he comes inside (and a treat to compensate him for the trouble), we have had NO problems with fleas this summer. The dog doesn't mind the Ovitrol. I just take a deep breath before spraying him. The odor fades very quickly (about 60seconds).Our vet said to apply Ovitrol directly to the dog and to use Siphotrol on the carpets/dog bedding. I would FIRST AND ALWAYS contact your vet before using any new product. If your vet says that Ovitrol is a good option for you, then buy it on Amazon because tends to run 30% cheaper here for the same product.I hope you and your furry friends enjoy a summer free from those annoying fleas.
