Get one before they get expensive.
This is an awesome bit of kit! Honestly. It's just a well built telescope with a Nikon fit. Takes a bit of getting used to as it will not talk to your camera. You either have to go old school and do some maths for a good exposure, or just take test shots till you're happy.Solid Alloy body is great but HEAVY! You will need not only a tripod but a remote shutter release to minimise vibration.Seriously the best hundred quid I have spent in ages.Image Nikon D5100 with lens at full zoom. ISO 200. 1/100s f(God knows) 50% crop.

Excellent
I own a bridge Nikon Coolpix P900 with an 83x optical or 2,000mm DSLR equiv zoom. Just recently bought a Nikon D780 body with a Nikkor AF-S 28-300mm ED VR lens. Immediately I missed going past 300mm. I appreciated with the 24mp full frame sensor, it is possible to crop in and resize. I have done it to the moon and there are compromises to be had over using the P900. So I thought I would give this a go for it's very modest price. Yes it is not superior glass like I now own, but for anyone with a dslr on a budget who cannot afford thousands for a tele zoom, you have no choice but to get this. We all have to make compromises in life, this lens may be yours.Unless you wish to play around with serious cropping in and then resizing and polishing off your images, this alternative is not to be sniggered at. For the money it is worth a try. I have only done a few test shots and there appeared to be vignetting at the long end, but the lens is being used on a full frame body and the lighting conditions were appaling. Some complain about the focus, which is ridiculous as the lens is totally manual with essentially a fixed aperture. Your camera and you must be able to work in MANUAL for this to be of any use to you. Ensure you get the correct model for you camera, so you get the correct T mount to your body. Others have compalined when the t mount is on it does not have a lens cap cover at the back end. Use the one of the lens that is attached to your body !!I paid £102. It is solidly constructed in metal not plastic. Attaches wonderfully to my D780 body and feel confident to hold the lens rather than the body when walking about. To say I am pleasantly surprised would be a gross understatement. Just remember you are spending £100 not £20,000, but this is not to say, from the few shots I have taken it is cheap, far from it. It is a bargain for what it delivers and I am more than satisfied. Seriously recommended.

Don't expect Bentley quality for Skoda prices!
I bought this as I don't have over a grand to spend on a lens!Although not expecting much, for less than £100.00 Gbp, I was pleasantly suprised. The lenses are acceptable. The quality of the construction far exceeds my expectaions.Although not to a professional standard, I am able to photograph far distant objects with ease.Yes, you have to focus manually (don't expect auto focus in this price range.Photos are perfectly acceptable (unless you are wanting to sell them). The balance point (tripod fitting) is not horizontally adjustable, but the balance seems right, to me.Please dont expect Bentley quality, at Skoda prices, and you won't be dissapointed.I am very happy with this telephoto lens.

Zoom zoom zoom
Bought the lens for a bit of a project taking photos of the moon without having to get my telescope out and mount the camera to it. Easy to fit onto my camera. Lens easy to attach to my tripod. Takes a while to focus at first, but I have had some successful photos so far, using a remote shutter release. Not too big a lens, can fit it into my camera bag. Not that heavy either. Quite a thin lens, so need to increase ISO or leave shutter open longer to get suitable brightness. I do need to purchase something to manually control my f stop, as it is stuck on f1.4 with the lens on, making getting everything in focus quite difficult. But for the money, the lens is great.

Fantastic Lens
This is a fantastic telescopic lens at a great price. It’s still expensive at over £100, but a lot cheaper than any other lenses that I’ve looked at. I’m just an amateur photographer and I’ve had loads of fun with this. I’ve managed to get a great picture of the moon, which I’m delighted about! Fits a Nikon D3300, I found the lens adaptor (which was included) to be a bit loose and have had to tighten it a few times, but otherwise delighted with the product. Works on manual mode only - don’t even think about automatic mode, it won’t work. You’ll need a tripod and a remote shutter button to ensure your shots are in focus. You can’t adjust your aperture as it’s an automatic focal lens but the F-stop number is printed on the extended lens so you will just need to adjust your shutter speed and ISO to suit. Brilliant piece of equipment if you’re into photography and are on a budget. Would thoroughly recommend.
