Unfortunately, it just does not work: I initially suspected it because of the nature of the failure we were having, but we we were able to determine it for certain by process of elimination. I'm not certain, but I think that the holes in the chip are not a good fit for the accompanying pins (or probably any pins): they don't fit snugly together, so the electrical contact/connection is poor. I would not recommend this. Review: Works great if you solder the pins on - For some reason, the other person who has left a review here did not think to solder on the provided pins. The product works great to convert 3.3V to 5V, which is its advertised function. :)
