There pliers work great! I initially bought them for slip rings but the cutters sliced through 30lb. Brand easily.

One of the screwed on jaws snapped off without too much pressure. Right where the screw hole is. Otherwise they worked great.Edit - As soon as I submitted the review the seller got in touch and I had a new pair of pliers within days. The customer service is just fantastic.

I purchased a different brand of this kind of tool, but the line cutter was in a odd position, only thing I liked about them was the hard open cave belt clipNow Thea one’s are fantastic for one handed use, line cutter is conventionally placed, they have a lock switch to keep them closed. Nice clip with a nice clip which can easily be clipped to a belt loop with out using the Velcro closed soft case. Just wish it had a hard belt case so you can draw them faster when needed in quick situations. Overall though I would definitely buy these again. Lightweight, very function and useful multi tool. Great for shore, dock or boat fishing, very strong jaws. No issues with it slipping in wet hands. Definitely recommend.

These are nice fishing pliers, but I gave four stars due to a few issues. The main problem I encountered is that the screws attaching the tips to the handle became loose after a short period of time. I almost lost one tip because one of the screws was missing and the second one was just about to fall out. My only other complaint is that the handles are very smooth and can slip easily. It would be nice to have a rough texture on the handle grips.I still think they’re a good purchase, but make sure you tighten the screws or maybe even add some thread lock.

Ends of pliers are too big for smaller split rings. Other than that they are great.

The media could not be loaded.  These are better than I thought they’d be.I’m impressed by how sturdy these are, to be honest I didn’t expect the metal to be such good quality, but it seems like it is, so that’s nice. I’ve also tried holding these with soaked hands, and I added a little hand soap for that slip feel, to see how well I can hold them, before I tried actually using them because I always want to carry as little gear as possible, and I was pleasantly surprised that the handle not only ergonomically fits my hand well, and thus provides a decent anchor point for my thumb, but they also didn’t slip, and that was good.So the construction is nice, the centre lock is easy to flick on/off in one hand, and the spring has good action, making using them easy.The carabiner and spring cord is a nice touch, and the belt loop on the pouch is also good because it’s a decent size to fit bigger belts through.Something I particularly found impressive was how well the “cutting” blade area works, it’s sharp and will easily do what I need.All in all, these are going to get a lot of use from me.

I ordered these for the hubby to use as I know nothing about fishing. He's been very pleased with them so far and said they are great for cutting lines, opening split rings and tightening rigs although he also said there is a lot more you can do with them.Very cost-effective and great for fishing.

Really handy combination tool and holder I can affix so easy to access. pleased with strength of the pliers and sharpness of the cutter. This means I only need one tool instead of two for sea fishing on charter boats. Slight criticism is the locking mechanism often takes a few tries before it works . Too early to see if these are really salt water resistant as this only became apparent after a few months of use with others I have purchased.
