UPDATE: May 2024 - the lights we had around the pool I took down for winter when we put the pool away. I moved them to a trellis where they continued to illuminate through the winter and are still lighting now in the spring. The second set was on a small tree and that one stopped working over the winter. Not sure why. Overall I’m still happy for the price. Orig. review (2023): These are not as bright as lights you’d plug in but they’re great if you just want a little accent lighting as decoration. They’re not made for complete illumination of an area. We put them around our pool. The lights in the distance on the fence are hard wired low voltage and are definitely brighter. First 3 pics were taken with iPhone night mode. 4th pic I took using live view and I think it shows a better depiction of the dimmer glow of the solar lights. The night mode actually makes them look brighter. For the price and the fact I could place them myself without needing extension cords or an electrician is definitely a plus!

I’m pretty impressed with these. When k set them up, the solar panel got direct sun from about 12pm - 4:30pm. Due to the lower angle of the sun I was worried they wouldn’t get enough exposure. However, as soon as the sun set, the lights came on and they were twinkling all night. I checked at 4am when my cat demanded breakfast and they were still at least 80% power. I like that they are lightweight and easy to hang on my roof line with some small adhesive hooks. The longer are pretty small LED lights as opposed to the old school standard bulbs, but with the two strands it gives enough coverage to be clearly seen from down the street. Since the bulbs are small, they don’t get tangled as easily as the larger style lights. The solar charging is great so I can just set them outside anywhere and they’ll automatically come on at night. Very easy to use and long strands are great for outdoor decorating.

Really like these lights but one quit working after two weeks.

I ordered these last June of 2023 and installed them the same day. First, the wires are very fragile so don't pull on them if they get tangled. Gently does it. Even though the lights themselves are very small, they emit a bright shine and are really beautiful. I strung the lights on bushes at the edge of the tree line by my firepit to give a bit of atmosphere, which they did. I got very positive comments on how pretty they look. I didn't take them down for winter and let nature do what it will on them. They continued to shine every night even though we did have many, many cloudy days. On the days the sun was out they shone all night long until daybreak. Cloudy days the lights didn't shine as long, maybe 5 or 6 hours. One thing to note...if you set them for a continuous shine they won't last as long. If you set them to do a blinking mode, they will last all night if you've had a sunny day. Unfortunately, I am down to two working sets from my order of four. One did not work right out of the box. I didn't bother contacting the seller about it as it would cost more in gas for me to go to a store that takes Amazon returns than it would to order another set. The dogs got the second set by chasing a squirrel (they didn't catch it) as they got hopelessly tangled in it. So today I will order another set of two. In my opinion, for what it's worth, these lights are a good buy. They are beautiful, weather hardy, and if you or your dogs don't get tangled in them they should do what you need them to do.

Love these for outside decorating as no long electric cords are needed.

I gave it a 3 because one set of the lights the rechargeable battery solar lights come with I got a dud unfortunately and only found out it was bad when I set them up outside for Christmas. I did order new batteries to replace it but they’ll be here after Christmas. Other than that, I’d suggest buying batteries just because it appears the battery was bad. The other set in the box does work well but I noticed they don’t stay on longer than maybe 4 hours. Years ago, around 2019 or so I bought similar lights and they are still maintaining amazingly and they stay on from sunset to sunrise. Be wise to check the lights after they been out in the sun all day and see how well they stay lit and of course if they work!

I got these to use as Christmas/holiday lights for the parking lot of our business. Easy to use - only tricky part is figuring out the best place to put the solar panels. You need them to get as much sun (or at least light) for as long as possible. All day, if you can find the right place to put the panels! Where i originally put them it was only getting sun for a few hours. I finally figured out that I could attach the panels to the top branches of a small tree. Once i did that, that strings lit up nicely. With a full day containing a good amount of sun, these lights stay on almost until dawn. How long they stay on will vary depending on how much sun & light they receive. Recently we've had a lot of overcast days with lots of rain and no sun. Some of my other solar lights did not turn on at all, or only worked for a couple hours. But these 2 sets of solar string lights turned on for 4 hours or more before dimming. That's pretty good for several consecutive totally sunless days. I will say they are not as bright as I would prefer. But you cant expect these lower cost solar lights to be as bright as electric lights. Maybe the higher end ones are better, I dont know. Still, these are bright enough you can see them easily from across the street maybe 50 feet away! The cool white color is very pretty and works well for the winter holidays. They give off a bit of a blue-ish white color. I like the fact that these have multiple different modes to choose from. That's a lot better than just steady or flashing. If you live in a region that gets very little sunlight throughout the winter, dont expect too much from these solar lights. Maybe 4 or 5 hours per night. You might be better off with electric or battery lights. Or maybe there are some more expensive solar lights that will work even with very little sun. But for us, these lights work nicely and i'll no doubt use them throughout the year just to give our property a bit of an elegant touch!

Used for days only to trdt them, without even unwrapping then, and already failed. Shame because they were really nice. Not functioning at all.

These lights are actually great quality. I purchased them at Christmas time it’s now March. They survived a brutal Canadian winter this year. Snow, rain, sleet, they turn on every night. Super impressed. They vary in time they stay on from but for the price it’s a great option!
