I use the porch to as a staging area for vegetable seedlings before planting in the garden. I store some vegetables, like potatoes, in the garage in the fall and winter. So this thermometer works nicely to show you the min and max temperature. It's easy to reset. There are 2 concentric knobs in the center, one for the max temp reading and one for the min temp reading. You turn the max knob counterclockwise to set the max reading arm near the current temp. Note, it's a bit stiffer and harder to turn. Then you turn the min reading arm clockwise to just below the current temp. Once you're used to the feel of how they turn, it just takes a few seconds to reset. I prefer this to battery powered versions. I've been using this for multiple years now, and it continues to work well. Review: Exactly what I was looking for! - I didn't know this existed but when going to find a thermometer to put in my new hoophouse, I wanted to be able to monitor the temps to see if it was going to freeze. This is small, well constructed, and will do exactly what I want! The humidity gauge is another added bonus. Great value and I'm so excited about this. Enjoy the vintage look too. ## Features - STYLISH THERMO HYGROMETER - Gilt dial maximum minimum thermometer showing high, low and current temperatures and hygrometer for current humidity levels. - GREAT FOR THE GREENHOUSE - Suitable for indoor use in the home or greenhouse, easy to reset max and min temperatures. - IS A MIN MAX THERMOMETER THE SAME? - Yes, just named different. This is small, well constructed, and will do exactly what I want! The humidity gauge is another added bonus. Great value and I'm so excited about this. Enjoy the vintage look too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I got 2 That Match… *by M***T on February 9, 2026* After reading many of the reviews here, I was reluctant to buy these min/max thermometers, despite their handsome styling. I took the chance anyway and received 2 thermometers that actually match in their readings, as well as read accurate when compared to other thermometers I have in the room, including my furnace’s thermostat - so I’m mostly happy. The setting dials are a bit tight, yes and can influence each other when adjusted, but a little finagling will get them set properly. The min/max needles do obscure the main temperature needle some when they overlap. Perhaps a better method would have been to position the main, black needle on top of the blue and red min/max needles (as with a different min/max thermometer I have). The large back end ‘paddles’ of these needles also obscure the humidity scale. Also, it appears they prioritized the Celsius scale over the Fahrenheit scale on the faces. Mine has the Celsius numbers large and positioned on the outside of the scale while the Fahrenheit scale is small and jammed-in more tightly, running on the inside of the scale. With all those needles and the tightness of the design, it makes it a little difficult to see an accurate reading of Fahrenheit numbers at times. The thermometer is all plastic and very lightweight. There’s a simple key slotted hole on the back for mounting, but no screw is supplied. The package claims the thermometer is made in the UK. Overall I’m satisfied and would recommend this thermometer with the above mentioned caveats. ## Frequently Bought Together - Max Min Thermometer and Hygrometer - Ideal Greenhouse Thermometer and Humidity Meter to Monitor Maximum and Minimum Temperatures and Humidity Easily Wall Mounted - AcuRite 5" Capacity Easy-to-Read Magnifying Acrylic, Blue (00850A3) Rain Gauge - Mateda 7" Capacity Rain Gauge with Stainless Steel Mounting Rack Holder, Post Mount Rain Gauge for Yard Garden Outdoor Home (Style A) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/42325647-brannan-max-min-thermometer-and-hygrometer-ideal-greenhouse-thermometer-humidity](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/42325647-brannan-max-min-thermometer-and-hygrometer-ideal-greenhouse-thermometer-humidity) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
